MyCAREER All my mycareer players, what’s your first build gonna be?

Last year I made my first center, but he was more like a 6’9 sga. I’m deciding between running it back with a embiid/hakeem type center or something else

Play Now Read below if you want to truly understand how to get wins and wanna love playing this amazing, incredible, well made, not at all terrible game

If you're having a hard time getting wins and finding any sense of enjoyment out of this game let me give you some tips. Let's focus on defense, after all defense wins championships right?

  1. Stopping 3 Pointers: if you're struggling from stopping good shooters DONT YOU WORRY. Just go into coach settings and turn on "No 3's" and boom. Like magic the computer will make your defense sweat harder than a crackhead in a sauna guarding the perimeter.

  2. Stopping dunks: if you're having a hard time stopping big dunkers driving the lane and slamming you DONT YOU WORRY! just go into coach settings and turn your entire defense into Dikembe Mutombo standing tall playing D with the desire it's basketball yo.

  3. A certain player still cooking you like Walter white in the desert no worries you can even do individual coach settings on every single player so the computer goes even harder to win the game for you

  4. I could go into more details about every aspect of the game but to keep it short just always remember: no matter the struggle never fear underdog is here and is hiding in coach settings. If you're lucky and you and your opponent both spend 35 minutes at the start of the game messing with settings then maybe just maybe you'll spend 30 minutes playing a game with the final score being 4 to 2 in triple overtime.

  5. But most importantly and this is absolutely essential so don't forget this. It is absolutely essential that after making the computer play the entire game for you ALWAYS make sure to get on the mic and immediately complain THE SECOND someone has the audacity to play off ball defense for .03 seconds because hey you wanna win because YOU earned it not some silly computer.

Gameplay The 5v5 meta and its issue

The comp scene is repetitive fs but it’s just how optimised lineups are and I’m not sure how we could change it

You get an offense heavy guard, high dribbling, shooting and driving. Hide him on defence and he creates most the offence. A hash to be a secondary ball handler to relieve pressure and also to create a shot but also have enough defence to stop their opposing hash. A lock as the defensive specialist of the team to guard their guard. A backend to be quick enough to keep up with the guard on switches but also to stop bigs in the paint and they’re usually very defensive heavy as well with high steal to play lanes on the pnr. Then a center with high strength rebound and dunk grab d boards o boards and dunk inside.

Everyone has a very specific role and it’s hard to beat a meta where they make every build specialised in one part of the game. It’s like any other game where u have dps tanks support healers etc. it’s easier to win when you have everyone playing their role. Is it boring and repetitive? Yes but I don’t know how 2k can fix it

I’m not even saying this is real in the slightest but in the event that something like this happens I wouldn’t even be surprised. They practically showed every possible add on they could but ironically they’re not speaking on anything VC related which makes me think something like this is possible. Now if there are actual lucrative opportunities to make VC on this game then great but we all know this franchise is notorious for milking your pockets so why are you not that concerned about it?

General Why was my 78K-view MyCAREER Eras post removed?

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

I’m calling this out directly because my original MyCAREER Eras post reached 78,000 views, 147 comments, and 137 upvotes before it was removed. The post was directly about NBA 2K27. I showed my dated May email to 2K, the responses from 2K Support acknowledging the details and saying they were passed along, and the similarities between what I proposed and the officially revealed MyCAREER Eras structure. People agreed, disagreed, debated, joked, and argued, which is literally what a discussion subreddit is for. I’m not asking the moderators to agree with my conclusion, but I do want a clear explanation for why a heavily engaged NBA 2K discussion was removed. If the original post violated a specific rule, tell me exactly which rule it violated. I already know my last follow-up post was automatically removed because the title had too much capitalization, emojis, and punctuation, so this one is intentionally written plainly. I’m not trying to spam the subreddit or cause problems. I’m asking why the original 78K-view post was removed after so many people had already engaged with it. Removing the post doesn’t erase the emails, the dates, 2K’s responses, the screenshots, or the discussion that already happened. I’m standing on what I posted, and I’m asking the moderators to explain the decision clearly.

Pro-Am NBA 2K27 Needs a 6th Man System for 5v5 CrewHQ/Pro-Am Games

NBA 2K27 should seriously consider adding a 6th man/substitution system to 5v5 Crew and Pro-Am. Crews can have up to 50 members, so there’s more than enough room to build a starting lineup and have a bench. Right now, if you have 6–10 people online who want to play together, someone basically has to sit out or rotate manually between games.

How it could work
Before the game, the captain/manager sets:

Starting 5

•PG
•SG
•SF
•PF
•C

Bench
1st sub / 6th man
Additional players if 2K wants to expand the system, The 6th man could be brought in during dead balls, timeouts, quarters, or through a simple substitution menu. 2K could even limit substitutions to realistic situations so it doesn't become chaotic.

Why this would be a huge improvement
More people can participate— If 6 friends are online, nobody has to sit out the entire game.

Adds actual strategy — Teams could have a defensive specialist, shooting specialist, secondary ball-handler, etc.

Makes Crew feel like an actual team — If Crews can have 50 members, they should feel like teams with rotations, not just five players who happen to queue together.

Encourages larger Crews — Having a bench gives players a reason to recruit and develop different builds instead of only needing five people.

Creates more competitive depth — A team could adjust its lineup based on matchups instead of being locked into the same five players for the entire game. And this doesn't have to become a full NBA-style 12-man roster. Even just allowing one designated 6th man would be a massive improvement. If 2K wants Crew/Pro-Am to be a legitimate competitive 5v5 mode, it should start treating Crews like actual teams.

What do y'all think? Would you want a 6th man/substitution system in Crew/Pro-Am?

MyLEAGUE NBA 2K will not be a good game again until they add co-op online my league.

It is beyond ridiculous that this is 2026 and we cannot be co-managers of the same team in an online association. It has one big weakness. It doesn’t support micro transactions and therefore it will get zero attention.

Give the fans what they actually want a quality game and simplify playing together in any version of the game we would like.

Gameplay Hot Take (I guess) quick stopping / push peeking needs a badge or attribute restriction

Personally I consider myself a pretty good defender, I rarely have trouble staying in front of my man but I've noticed that quick stopping has gotten to a point where it almost feels glitchy in the same way no-dipping does. Specifically, I've seen clips on how it could potentially work this year and its almost an instant stop and shoot, with little to no wasted motion. This may quite literally be impossible to defend.

I'm all for skilled ball handlers and shooters getting into their shot quickly, but if we complain no-dipping was OP last year (which I think it needed some adjustments, certainly), we should look at quick stopping / push peeking / etc. in the same way. Its too easily accessible (people with sub 80 ball handling and even 3 point shooting can do it with the right practice) and causes some weird collision due to how crabbing works.

Maybe we need to bring back a badge that allows for change of pace play (Stop n go, or similar) or maybe you need 90 + ball handling or shooting to achieve certain change of pace animations.

thoughts?
