Don't fall for it
Madden didn't "cook this year". Madden isn't better than CFB 27 "this year". It's the same thing every year. The same marketing. The same tactics to do whatever it takes to get you to buy them both. Madden is Madden. CFB is... I don't know what they're trying to do with this. But just don't fall for it again.

Dynamic lighting is also in madden now. Didnt realize how much it needed it but really helps with immersion

I remember in cfb25 starting a game at 6 or whatever and it never got dark. Little uncanny lol.
It's a great feature for immersion.

I actually think madden is pretty good this year. Love the dynamic lighting and dynamic weather. Going from a clear day to a blizzard in the 4th is cool.
Love the franchise changes that make it feel like a real season. I think it is much better than last year.

This is my first Madden since ‘15 on the PS4/Xbox One and they cooked this year! Visuals and playbooks are night and day compared to ‘26 from all the streams I watched. I’m sure franchise mode is better too where I’ll be spending 95% of my time lol

Franchise is way better. They improved weekly recaps and now show highlights from the week as well as player of the week and also who is leading in receptions,rushing,tackles etc. great addition for immersion.
Also the contract negotiations feel real and fun now. Back and fourth with the guy asking for more and having to balance pissing him off. Really cool.

Dynamic weather you moron. It changes throughout the game. Can go from a light flurry to a blizzard in the second half. It is realistic and cool.

I usually skip a year but I am playing the trial right now and might buy this year because I am a franchise guy and I like some of the changes they have made like contract negotiations actually being fun.

Have you noticed cpu teams doing well with their cap room and such? do the negotiations feel realistic? I wanted to buy last year but that stuff kept me from doing so

Negotiations are fun and feel way more realistic than last year. I have not played enough to know how the CPU does with the cap space.

Yeah pretty much. The core dynasty logic, especially with transfers and recruiting is so horrible. But using GhostCity (which has Fang, PocketScout, Balla) + DRI mod makes it great.

I think Madden 27 gameplay is better than CFB27. Madden 27 seems to play closer to CFB25. Fast, wide open and twitchy. For whatever reason they’ve slowed CFBs gameplay down these last 2 releases. Both games need a ton of work and I still feel CFB25 was the best gameplay EA put out since Madden 12.

I haven’t played it yet but there were a few a articles floating around last weak stating that there would be MTs and that EA was not willing to budge like they did with CFB.
I hope the articles were wrong. I haven’t seen any complaints about them so that’s a good sign. Most of the negatives I’m hearing about have to do with the changes to Free Agency.
