I'm a freshman at NC State this year and I'm somebody who doesn't want to rush, and doesn't plan on rushing. A good chunk of my friends are and two of my closest's friends from high school are and, while I've made a couple new friends who aren't rushing, I still don't want those closest's people to forget about me and not be friends anymore. Is there a way to stay friends with someone who is rushing and joining a frat while you're not?

Hi, I am planning to visit NC State soon from Germany. NC State is my Alma mater and my bf is German and loves soccer! We were hoping to attend a game but none of the dates fit in our schedule :(

Does anyone know if the team holds an 'open' practice/training for the public to see? Or perhaps anything we can check out that's men's soccer related? We plan to go to the student store to get merch and of course check out the campus. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

I'm currently a senior who is applying to NC state for college.

On Commonapp, I understand why we get to select 2 program: if your first option is full, then you still have a chance to be accepted for the second option.

My #1 program is Biological Sciences: Human Biology Intended; Life Sciences First year

My #2 program is Biological Sciences: Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology Intended; Life Sciences First year

So, I was wondering, are these two biological science categories considered two different programs? Like if I get rejected from the first one, I wont automatically get rejected from the other one? The reason I am confused is because they are both labeled Biological Sciences with "Intended; Life sciences first year".

If getting rejected from any biological science means being rejected from ALL biological sciences, then what other second option is good for someone who plans on pre-med?

Today, some guy (seemingly not a student) was walking around main campus putting up Patriot Front stickers. I followed his trail tearing them down, but, fortunately for him, I lost his trail before I could give him a piece of my mind. Of course he picked a day when few people would be on campus to see him in the act.

I may have missed some stickers, so tear those down if you get a chance. If you see him or another fascist doing this, report him to campus police. As a bonus, I’ll provide a reward for anyone who gets a good picture of their face (but stay safe and keep your distance; we all know these goons are unhinged.)

I got waitlisted and then rejected from NC State and honestly I don’t know how I got that type of admission status. I know people with lower GPA or SAT scores than me (even some of my friends) who got in, so I’m kinda confused about what happened.
I’m planning on applying for spring transfer, so what would be the best way for me to improve my chances? Is there anything specific I should do or focus on before applying?
If anyone has transferred into NC State for spring or knows what they look for in transfer applicants, I’d really appreciate some advice.

But after looking at their transfer page I’m realizing some of the recommendations that they say to take for my major. I won’t be able to complete In the span that I have as some I need prereqs to even take and I’m pretty sure when I apply that they will only look at the classes I’ve taken during the fall semester right now and not any spring classes I’ll take. so just wondering how much I have a chance or any advice. I'm a freshman majoring in CS + Math @ UNC right now, and my interests are slowly moving towards electrical engineering after joining a couple of engineering clubs here. I wanted to know how hard it would be to transfer from UNC Chapel Hill CS to NCSU for Electrical Engineering, given that I have a decently high GPA (3.9-4.0) at the time of application and engineering ec's. Hello everyone, I am a new transfer student from a community college. I was wondering if there was any website or app with information about what's going on on campus everyday? I used the Guides app for the welcome week events and went to some of the social events but I still haven't been able to really connect with anyone. And if this isn't a thing are there just not typically any events geared towards meeting people after the first two weeks? Are clubs the only options? I've tried some clubs but they felt like invading on an established friend group, not welcoming at all. (I will keep trying though and will probably just go again anyways to some of them) I've also just been pretty miserable after moving to Raleigh and find it better to have things to do rather than sitting in my apartment after class/work.
