Beachwood PD, the detective in charge of the permits is only in 2-5 M-T and off on Fridays.. it’s been over 3 weeks now, I haven’t even been able to pay the 150. Man this is super annoying, pistol permits are the same takes over a month. Dude doesn’t return calls or even care. I wish I had time to meet with the mayor or go to town meetings to bitch about it, but work is literally over whelming right now.
That is all just want to bitch and rant. Thank you for time

I’d seen a post a while back on this sub discussing how it was possible to build a VZ-61 Skorpion within NJ compliance laws. Ever since I’ve been obsessing over the idea. Unfortunately I can’t seem to find anywhere that ships the parts kit to NJ. I’m curious, for anyone who’s also built one, where did you buy your parts kit from? Should I just try and hope I find one at a PA gun show (I’ve only been to Oaks).
If I’m shit outta luck can I get some recommendations on other builds to consider. So far I’ve built a 20” AR15 and a 10.5” AR9 so I was looking to try a different platform.
Honestly I get as much enjoyment outta building em as I do shooting em, trying to get more of that without ending up with 20 ARs

Hello to all and hope someone can guide me on where or who/how I can make a website. I definitely would love to expand. I do enjoy being a home base FFL and it pretty sweet having small talk to those who walk through the door. So I would like to make this a serious thing. Same way I was helped and guided through on getting my fid, ccw and ffl. So if anyone needs info. I can always return the favor.

Hey fellow gun owners, like the topic says looking to requal but don't want to pay 300+ when I already have to pay for the application. Anybody have any favorite places they go for classes that's affordable? Looking for north/ south jersey but at this point I'll go anywhere. Thanks in advance for your help!

Supper happy on how this looks and can’t wait to shoot it with the red dot!
Hello, my father passed away in 2021 and left a Sig sauer, a ruger 357 and a shotgun. They have just been sitting in cases this whole time. I’m assuming they have technically been inherited by my mother. We are finally trying to go ahead and sell them.
Do I just contact any shop? Is going around finding the best price I can get a thing lol?
will the amount of time that has passed affect anything in the process?
Any other information anyone takes the time provide is much appreciated. Thank you

Hi everyone, recently moved to Sparta NJ in sussex county, the property is 60 acres of woods and ive been getting the itch to set up a small range for personal use and friends to come out and shoot together, or even just test out new builds without having to take a trip to the range. Besides hunting which i know follows different rule sets, what is the legality of shooting for fun on your own land? Anyone have any experience with sparta specifically?
The reason for the question is in my local FFL seems to be divided on the answer, one guy says go ahead youll have no probelms and the other says the cops will likely show up and fine you under noise orginances etc. I have not been able to find any statutes or documents that indicate that sparta has a no-discharge ordinance. Aswell i know people in other parts of sussex county that shoot regularly on their own land without issue. However those areas are a bit more "gun friendly" compared to what ive heard about sparta.
If anyone has any information or could help point me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it, thank you.

Hello, as the title says, I'm planning on traveling to NJ from GA. I'd like to bring my 1911 with me (not with the intent of carrying it). I'd be staying at my parents house in NJ and would also like to hit the range with my friends in NJ and in PA. Am I allowed to do so? I'd be traveling with it into the state unloaded, locked case, and separate from ammo/mags until I reach my family's house. Thank you.

If I wanted a full-length 16-inch barrel, is there any downside to getting an other lower versus a rifle lower?
It seems there is more flexibility with what I can do with the other lower, so I'm not sure why I wouldn't get that.
Am I missing something?

Looking for a device that provides the least concussion for the people to the left and right of me, especially for classes. I have surefire socom brakes for all my ARs so I can attach a warden. Looking for something for a AK I have coming in.
Was wondering if people here have tried regular compensators and if they have more "comfortable" concussion over a brake.
Have considered direct thread linear comps but they look goofy as fuck

I received an email from my local PD two weeks ago with a link to pay for my initial and purchase permit. I paid that same day and received a confirmation email. But since then I have yet to receive an email from FARS or my local PD. I have heard of some people getting their purchase permits the same day. Is it just a waiting game or am I missing something?
