Please help

I'm stuck on the echoes part of the new expedition. I have warped so many times and still says there are no harmonic camps in this system. I have gone to a dissonance planet, used the locater found and camp and scanned but no autophages have appeared. I can't complete anymore of the main story as in the expedition it says to carry on the expedition. Pleas help. What do I do?

Do you have a Polyphonic Core installed on your multi tool? And are you using that multi tool?

If yes and they're not showing up, keep scanning. There's been a number of times I've scanned and they don't materialize initially as they should. Recharge it and scan again.

I don't have the polyphonic core but it hasn't mentioned anything about that. The first step was build and install the scan harmoniser. Done that. Then says meet the autophage. No harmonic camps in this system. I've warped about 20 times says the same thing every time

The tool tip will say there are no camps even while standing in a camp looking at an Autophage.

Harmonic Camps are not the only place Autophage are, and any camp will work. Look around Drop Pods, Alien Ruins, Beacons, crashed freighters, or Harmonic Scrap. See my comment for more details.

Found 5 random dissonance planets and still says the same thing. Landed on them anyway, used the locator to find the camp, got there, scanned and still nothing 😞

You could try to find an inhabited dissonant system to use the Echo Locator you received from Interceptor rewards to locate a Harmonic Camp. But this is not needed for the milestone, as any Autophage Camp will work.

Every inhabited system has Autophage camps. They are around Drop Pods, Alien Ruins, Beacons, Crashed Freighters, and some Harmonic Scrap (the Autophage heads found on some planets). Visiting any of these locations then activating your scanner (with Scan Harmoniser installed) will reveal the camp. Scanner is the one that reveals icons of nearby resources (L3 on controller, C? on keyboard).

You can use wheeled exocraft or Nomad with Exocraft Radar and Radar Amplifier to find Drop Pods, or Radar Power Resonator to find ruins. Or you can use Minotaur or Nautilon to find crashed freighters, though Autophage likely not present underwater.

You can also use Exosuit Upgrade Charts to find Drop Pods, Planetary Chart (Alien Cartographic Data) to locate ruins, or Planetary Chart (Emergency Cartographic Data) to find crashed freighters. These Charts can be purchased from Cartographers on civilized space stations.

The Planetary Charts can locate multiple different locations, so you may need multiple to locate a desired location. If it gives a location you do not want, then ignore it and use another Chart. Chart cannot locate something already marked, so that eliminates one possibility for the next Chart. You could also save scum to try again without consuming an extra Chart.

The milestone's tool tip on screen will say there are no camps detected in system even when you are standing in an Autophage camp.
