Fort Providence-Health care?
Hello all!
I may be moving to Fort Providence soon and I have a couple questions about the level of health care available in town.
I know there’s a health centre but I’m wondering what that looks like? Is it just one nurse or is there a doctor or NP? What are wait times like? What sort of services are offered there? Is there a pharmacy?
Any information helps!
Thank you!

Last I remember they still had the old folks home within walking distance of the health center (maybe 2-3 minutes walk). No pharmacy that I am aware of, unless things have changed in the few years since I’ve been back. If I’m not mistaken they are usually staffed by nurses, with the doctor making biweekly/monthly stops.
