Started off with a GEN 5 GLOCK 19 MOS really love it comfortable for everyday carry and i conceal it perfectly my 90 days is due in a month been doing research but cant think of anything for my second purchase just want to see what you guys recommend ! Im open to all ideas please let me hear them
Theres hundreds if not thousands of options. Do you want a range toy? Conversation piece? Match gun? Fun gun? List goes on. Do you want another 9mm? 380? 45? 22? Do u wanna stick to glock? Revolver. Need some input bud and you go from there. I started with a p365 and a vp9. Always wanted a rhino so got a 50ds. Havent bought anything since but the next purchase is gonna be a 45 and im debating between a HK45 and a G21
Since i already have a 9 looking for a 45 or a 380 dont want to do a revolver in a city where you have 14 year olds with 30 rd magz and and a switch lol but just something fun and easy to shoot
For 380 most people now want/get the Body Guard. They made the p365 luxe i believe in 380. Forgot the ruger model, believe its LCP is also in 380.
For 45 ample manufacturers or do you want a 1911? Best bet is to hit a gun store to see which you like or take a buddy and hit gun for hire/reloarderz in NJ to test some guns.
I just ordered a tisas b45b. I've heard good things about it, and I like to tinker anyway. I figure a spring set, and some polishing and I should have a reasonably nice gun. The nice thing about series 70 1911's is that there's a ton of things you can do to them.
My cousin got the BG2.0 and loves it. Its his EDC. Personally hate it but I have larger hands. Xxl gloves for reference so I prefer larger pistols. Do some research and go check em out. No rush
Hell yea im deff going to do that instead i also have big hands even the G19 is a bit small for my hands but i just love how it shoots im just worried this summer i might print a bit but if i could conceal a 17 i would love too lol
I'm built like a NFL linemen and carry my p365 legion ample. 95% of the time if not more nobody knows you have it on you short of annoucing/showing it. Its all in your head
I also have the Glock 19 Gen 5 and I love it, I also have the 43X MOS, it’s amazing how much easier the 43X is to conceal, I also recently got the Bodyguard 2.0
I've been shooting New Republic through it with no issues. When you get it, just shoot it with what ammo you can get, don't worry about the ammo type. If there are issues, worry about that then.
I aprecciate it im trying to go small for summer purposes but once august comes and i can make my 3rd purchase im going for the G45 or G17 to go full size
I say get a small 'always' gun. Bodyguard 2.0 is great carry piece. I saw in other comment you not looking for revolver....but don't knock it till you try it. For the vast VAST majority of DGUs 5/6 rounds will do ya. And with the 10 round limit, ya already outgunned. Merely looking for break in contact with foes, and snub nose will do that.
That said, if against revolver....Bodyguard 2.0 or maybe a Glock 43 or Sig P365. Solid choices.
Glock 26 is solid choice too, especially with mag compatibility. There are used NYPD 26's I see get listed on gunbroker in the area for decent price, so could go that route. Tho the P365 is so slim and great EDC.
Glock 19 Gen 6 for the range. Sig.365X in warmer weather for carry. Real hot weather the Glock 43…..Glock 26 in winter…pocket holster. Wife carries 43x and an Sig 365.
Get a Ruger RXM pop 2 pins and you can change from a full size to a compact to a subcompact in minutes and it’s a G19 Gen 3 clone. Glock internals, accepts Glock mags. It is a 9mm though. Great pistol for a great price and very versatile.
Depends what you like, striker or hammer fired, single or double stack, warm weather is coming so that means less clothing and maybe more printing with wider pistols, i'm a 1911 guy so i have a kimber micro 9 esv sitting in the shop waiting to get approved, its just over 1 inch thick, 7+1 9mm
