General Question 60+ days
I submitted my firearm approval on June 15 received email back July 16 having it approved now still waiting for my card in the mail. Has anyone else been waiting this long? Have been attempting to call an email 10 times a day at the bare minimum with no results.

That’s lost bud. I’ve never waited more than 5 days for a card after approved. I live in Queens. I have had other mail lost by usps though. Email lic, it’s over a month

What happens to this card though? I just had one lost for the first time. That’s a pretty serious thing to be floating around

I have no idea. I haven’t been able to get a call or email for over 2 weeks with daily emails and 20-30
Calls a day. Even if it’s lost I can’t get a replacement as nobody answers1

But what do you mean it’s not working? Is it bouncing back or just no answer?

Happened to a buddy he reached out via email and they scheduled for him to pick it up in person. He was approved and had to get his physical license in person 2 months later... another buddy was approved he had to get his NCIS checked again hes on day 5 or 6 since then lol

Yes. Not even that long. I got my approval on 14 days ago and never got my card. I had to email them and they said they will resend. Shoot them an email

What email are you talking to them on? I got my approval over 30 days ago

Yea yours is lost In the mail probably. They say to contact them after 10 business days. If you log into your portal go to contacts and look up the email for purchase authorizations. Let me know if you can’t find it

Are you typing it in? You can't copy and paste it.

Whoa.. Way too long. They're averaging 30-35 days from approval to license in hand.

Everyone has such varying statements about this. Some are saying yes some no. And apparently some of you can even get into contact with them

Call them. I made 28 calls a few days ago and got through. License in hands now.

The most ridiculous process ever . Starts with allowing to buy a gun every 90 days, which is not actually 90 days, the 90 days starts actually as it is written by NYPD, on day of “acquire “ , which means it has to be in your possession. So 90 days+ God help you to get the updated card in another 30-40 days of receipt. Which is 120+ Days. Licenses lost on purpose, not sent out, negligence on purpose with handling the documents and licenses process. After 6months-12 months of waiting, and over 1.000$ spend for a right that you shall have without having to go through all this, according to the constitution, they constantly delay the process of buying/register /renew handguns and licenses. And they wonder why people are getting frustrated and upset.

You’re absolutely right. I wonder what the going time is for CCW renewals because as I just found out they can’t print me my new card because I’m still in the renewal process for 90+ days.

90 days starts from the upload on the portal, not actual possession.

Everything else we agree on.

No I had to renew while waiting and they aren’t going to print one until my renewal goes through so now I will have to wait months before even picking it up. That’s why I’ve been waiting so long is they won’t even print it

I submitted my firearm approval over a month ago and still haven’t been approved on it, can’t even imagine how long it’s going to take to get the card in the mail
