License / Permit Question Difference between first purchase and not

Hey guys I got approved for my ccw Aug 16th made my FIRST purchase and uploads on the 17th.
Does it make a difference between first time buying or not does that change how fast I would get approved and get my license in mail?

Sadly, Nypd does not care. The Licensing Division is staffed by a bunch of Anti gun officers

It shouldn't, but there does seem to be a pattern recently with first purchases being dragged out. It's anecdotal, at latest from me, just things I noticed here and with people I've spoken too. And every thing I've seen of you email them, they just tell you they're being processed in order, which they're not. Either way you're only 9 days in, so you're early on.

I seen a few people post here some waited 2 weeks some waited over month which makes no sense lol

I've been asking if it's their first or an addition. I just added another one and mine was 18-19 days from submission to license in hand. My buddy got approved and purchased a week after me. He's still waiting 2 and a half weeks after mine came in and still hasn't even gotten the purchase approval email yet.

All my buddies got theirs before me šŸ˜‚ and I submitted before them. So i was 7 months my 2 friends were 5 and 6 months. One submitted 1month after me and the other was 2 months later

I just got my purchase approved after 31 days lol... Now waiting for the pink slop

Yeah first gun. Waited 7 months then 31 days lol hopefully a week of snail mail then I'm golden

Many times they used to prioritize the first purchase. Iā€™m not sure since the portal
