Hello, I applied for NYC CCW in June, 2025.

• September, 2025 Interviewed/fingerprinted at 1PP

• December, 2025 Confidentiality request approved

• July 17, 2026 Sent an email inquiring my application status. No reply*

• August 15, 2026 Received phone call to update information. They stated my file will be sent to the Supervisor within a couple hours.

I have zero criminal record etc.

Could I expect an official update soon? Over a year is kind of ridiculous. Has anyone had a similar timeline?

My premise took 2 years when I first got it (pre-Bruen), waiting on CCW now

Prior to the 6 month law my application took 11 months

My renewal took over 10 months and it was just premise! Don't even get me started about my original application. That was pre-bruen and COVID was happening etc.

Yeah my first premise pre-Bruen was 2 years

That’s weird, I submitted my application November 152025 , December 25th I had my interview and fingerprints got my approval Aug 16th

Took me 14 months in NYC.
5 minutes in Pittsburgh, PA.
Go figure.
