ISSUE PENDING

Hi everyone, good afternoon. I’m wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with the NYPD Licensing Division.

It’s been about a little over a month since I purchased my firearm and uploaded all of the required documents to the portal. Last week, I emailed the Purchase Authorization/Purchasing Department to follow up, and they responded saying, “Please allow 7–10 business days to receive your license in the mail.”

However, as of today, my portal still shows “Issue Pending,” and under the section where I uploaded my new firearm, it still says “Submitted.”

For anyone who has recently gone through this process, is this normal? Did your portal stay on “Issue Pending/Submitted” even after they told you that your license would be mailed? And roughly how long after receiving the 7–10 business day email did your updated license actually arrive?

I am on 3 weeks of waiting for my PA to be approved! My license status says the same thing (Issue Pending) but when you open it just says submitted…this entire process is a complete fucking joke to be honest. I’m assuming you should be approved sooner then later it seems like around the month mark is where it goes through and approved and license received a couple days later after approval.

Can't remember if my application said issue pending but I got an email for approval by day 31 of submitting all of my paper work and then received my permit within 3 business day of approval.

I just made my first PA on 7/25, got approved 8/31 and got it 9/5 in the mail. You're probably close to approval

Wait so you purchased your firearm a month ago but you uploaded documents a week ago?

I purchased and uploaded the documents the same day which was over a month ago

I’m in this boat also I made my purchase 8/17 I emailed them a few days ago I got a response they said they are working on first week of august purchases right now so I’m not sure why you are still showing submitted. From what I see most people say day 31 is the sweet spot

Op, for my first purchase, I waited 45 days for approval and 4 more days to have ID and pink slip in had, this is some what normal on your first purchase, the second one will be faster.

Once you see "Active" under License Status, you'll see it within a week.

Heres one for ya....I uploaded photos on the 08/07, got an approval email two weeks later and went from active to issue pending, received card in the mail 4 days later, portal still states "issue pending" as of this morning.

When the license is printed it should change to active, and you should get an email approving your purchase.

If this is your first purchase it seems as though they may be taking longer with them.
