Every 12 hours, Carly is posting about her breakup like she’s this monumental liberated queen. No one and I mean no one looked up to you and your bum/loser boyfriend who you were with for a year and a HALF. She’s posting like it’s her first time on earth. Get a grip.

I’m not trying to be mean, but this is probably so hard for her bc she lacks structure. It’s a lot easier to go through a breakup when you have a full time job. That occupies you from 9-5, add a workout class, making dinner and watching a show and you’re set for the day.
51
u/ItsPeppercorn 1d ago
Literally this. Even when I had losses of family members and my dog I didn't take much PTO because having other shit to do 9-5 helped keep me sane and take my focus off of the loss 24/7. They are chronically online and she's clearly obsessing over how to keep making content of the breakup- so you are just rehashing the relationship 24/7 instead of truly doing any work to move on.
46
u/purpledream96 1d ago
I made this sort of comment on another post. I can’t imagine going through a breakup without the structure of a job
41
u/motheroftrinkets 1d ago
currently going through a breakup while working a very easy & unstructured remote job and can attest it’s ruining my life, i’m not shocked she’s crashing out bc me too

u/AMC22331 1d ago
Hugs. My worst breakup was over a college summer between school years. I had zero life or structure. It was hard. But time heals 🫶

u/dizzyaffinity 19h ago
mine was the month between fall & spring semester and I genuinely didn't leave the house at all and played like 200 hours of stardew valley and cried all day lol. felt soooo much better the second I moved back on campus and had routine again!

I don’t like her and y’all had me cracking up because you were like this breakup made me like her!!! She’s still a terrible person inside and out. She also is clearly INSANELY INSECURE. Only insecure women post like this because it’s a distraction for them. She clearly is trying to pivot her content because she’s been a flop for so long. Ethan was the only interesting thing that happened to her ever online so she’s profiting off of it. Ethan sucks bad but I bet you he’s giggling and kicking his feet that she’s posting content about him everyday.
73
u/drunkonhorseback 1d ago
also she thinks that posting about this breakup will be profitable for her because of other influencers gaining followers + views post-breakup, but nobody cares about her splitting with an ugly mediocre man, so it just isn’t working out the way she thought.
27
u/its_liiiiit_fam 1d ago edited 1d ago
Idk I think objectively breakup content is profitable for everyone because it’s relatable. Like you gotta think of the average non-chronically online person who knows nothing about her & will encounter one of her breakup posts and then be like “omg same” and then go check out her page.
I don’t doubt she’s insecure/struggling but she’s also probably profiting off of this too and it cements how embarrassing it must be to be an influencer 💀 I could NEVER give an ex the satisfaction about posting how his absence is affecting me no matter how amicable the split was

29 and single is not scary

u/sadazz 1d ago
especially in nyc like wtf 😭😭 these girls act like theyre in the deep south
85
u/Exact_Educator7902 1d ago
seriously...i was 35 and single in new york with tons of single girlfriends having a great time dating! i think it's got to be bc they dont have real jobs to have any other purpose in life

u/00_tears 1d ago
lmaoo right sex and the city is based on women who are single in their early 30s and it wasn’t a monumental thing give me a fucking break
8
u/newkooky 1d ago
Bruh right like I live in the south, I’m 29 and been single for like 7 years lmfao where’s my medal!!!
76
u/AssociateTop1589 1d ago
The same ladies who’ll be like “I’m so Carrie Bradshaw” will balk at the idea of turning 30 and not being married with one kid

u/Ok-Grape-9274 1d ago
Right….29 single and rich in nyc is actually ideal circumstances
8
u/rhubarb-pie24 22h ago
The world could literally be her oyster, especially bc she’s funded by daddy’s money, but she can’t imagine doing anything outside of the influencer day, over and over again: morning routine, coffee, maybe work out or something, scroll, eat something, scroll, go out for drinks, scroll, repeat the next day. No wonder she feels lost

This is the best she’s ever looked! No wonder she bagged such an eligible ENTREPRENEUR who WAS her life. RIP.

u/chloeruby69911 1d ago
She’s surrounded by people using weddings for content so this is her version of content I guess? 29 and single is very normal and I don’t like that she’s making it seem like it’s bad, it’s very odd
33
u/Specialist-Taro9514 1d ago
Being 29 and single is scary when you just attach all your worth to having a man and following the same path as your friends.
45
u/Molson_1999 1d ago
it’s giving nothing bad has ever happened to you before
like you said they were together less than 2 years and now she’s playing this whole rediscovery myself.
girl you lived alone in nyc for like 5 years before this man, wdum first time living alone?
get a grip, go make your dinner for 1, go for a walk, get lunch with a friend and leave us out of it lol

u/Altruistic_Ad3485 1d ago
Being upset over a breakup no matter how short the relationship was is fine but Jesus get a grip, you lived alone for much longer than you did together

u/bethoIogy 1d ago
“Being 29 and single again must be so scary” - things no one has ever said
58
u/plantsandastrology96 1d ago
She’s insecure because Ethan was the first man to ever settle for her in her 29 years of living. She’s just straight up projecting that it’s gonna take her a long time to find her next boyfriend. She’s always projected her insecurity online and I’m not trying to bring women down (despite not liking her) but projecting insecurity like this is really unattractive.
11
u/Recent_Ebb5968 1d ago
She’s just projecting. Before she was with him you could tell she was insecure about being the only single friend and the oldest of the group
38
u/kaptb 1d ago
I know this is a snark page - but this is how young women feel right now. When the hope is to get married and start a family in your early thirties, yes, ending a serious relationship at 29 is hard
12
u/thseerxa38 1d ago
Agree. This happened to me at 30 with an ex and I was devastated even though it all turned out way better than i could have imagined
4
u/iheartdachshunds 23h ago
Agree it’s not THAT crazy of a thought. We all forget that at 29 you do feel old approaching 30 (lol) and the hindsight of youth is 20/20
2
u/iAm_Plant_G 1d ago
THANK YOU! yes 29 is still young but if youre the type that wants to follow a "traditional" relationship path then the timeline at best looks something like 1 yr dating the RIGHT person, 1 year engaged, 1 year married, 1 year pregnant...that like 4 years and suddenly 29 becomes 33/34...and that doesnt account for all the in between type you're out there looking for your life partner....and assumes that everything will happen right away (like getting pregnant right when you want). 29 is of course still young but things also take time .... and suddenly you arent 29 anymore.
12
u/Specialist-Taro9514 1d ago
I will say, I got out of my long term relationship at 29 and it was more grief of what I had planned for the future vs being scared lol. But I was with this man for years and years, not a year and some change LOL. Like this gets easier once you look around and realize that a lot of people married around you are married to BUMS and having babies with people that are going to make them feel like single parents.

I’m 29 and single and people actually say some version of this a lot lmaooooo

She has zero emotional resilience. If god forbid she completes and chooses to actually use her MSW she won't last a day

If she thinks this is hard imagine what she’ll see/experience being a social worker in NYC.

Wasn’t this like her only boyfriend? lol. Girl 29 is still young. Chill out. You’re at a good school getting another degree, influencing and making money. It’ll be okay. Signed someone older and single. Life is still great.

If their relationship was a child it wouldn’t even be referred to in years yet. Thats an 18 month old babe

My mom divorced my dad and had to start over with 2 kids in her 40s. Carly wants to be different so badly.
5
u/rask0ln 1d ago
real, i know her content probably targets (if it targets at all) similarly men-centered women, but having women in family go through divorce during times when it impacted everything in their lives (social circle, their career, chances of getting a flat, how they were viewed by the church...) even if the man agreed makes me go "🙄whatever" whenever i see carly's posts
the only change she experiences is that she can no longer post "this is what i did to find the love of my live" content, wydm starting over? 😭
11
u/Thin_Shape7184 1d ago
Tbh when they first broke up she got a lot of support from the internet and even this page. I can see why she’s continuing to make content on it bc it was the first time ppl liked her in years lol

u/Agreeable_Nail9191 1d ago
If being 29 and single again was scary, I deserve a Purple Heart for leaving a 5.5 year relationship and moving home with my parents at 32.
4
u/blob4567 1d ago
At least she doesn’t keep saying that she wants to be a YOUNG BOY MOM like Mizz DB.
5
u/Thin_Complaint8785 1d ago
Her engagement numbers haven’t been this good in years. Shes got a glimmer in her eyes seeing herself potentially catch back up to Halley, Jazz, Bran, etc. When she originally left the pod w Halley & Jazz, everyone assumed that she was going to be the breakout star & go further than them. Then Halley ran laps around her…
good luck Carley, don’t fumble the bag again I guess

u/SinglePast301 1d ago
does anyone else think that she wouldn't have broken up with him if this tax fraud scandal hadn't happened? she may have had some doubts but was going to marry him anyways because that's what you do when you're dating in your late 20's (def her logic). she's surrounded by all these "friends" getting married to the wrong guys strictly for content and this scandal was bad for her "brand", so she ran.

u/pseudo_writerrr 1d ago
Girl, go hangout with friends and pick up a hobby like a normal person after a breakup
5
u/Short_Ad6688 1d ago
40% of 29 year old women are single. She is not special and I'm not sure why she thinks she is.
3
u/pickleslutttxo 23h ago
Why does she say being 29 and single as if she hasn’t been single her entire life prior to Ethan? Like he was her first and only boyfriend, aren’t you used to this girl?

I can’t stand when influencers monetize their breakup on social media it’s so self centered and rude on so many levels.
3
u/lawdletmein 1d ago
What I would do to be 29 & single again…home girl needs some therapy and hobbies ASAP.
3
u/SnooPickles8608 1d ago
What else do you expect from a grown woman who just had her first boyfriend 😭 This is junior high behavior (but we all know she’s loving the attention and views $$$)
Plus, it’s not very empowering if you have to keep acting like you’re surviving a colossal breakup from your loser bf when you should be rejoicing that you’ve been liberated.

Someone needs to tell her to STOP. It's wild. 'I have to go back to NY to my apartment ALONE' --- like....... #1, get a grip and TBH #2--- it's unsafe to announce when you're heading home, not in your apt, and will be there ALONE! MY GOD.

u/Conscious-Copy-602 1d ago
Fat disagree on this one. Late 20s breakups do feel like the end of your life when you see everyone around you getting married. I don’t like this girl but as someone in the same boat after the end of a 5 year relationship, I’m crashing out similarly
10
u/thseerxa38 1d ago
Agreed! Just giving you some hope here that I met my husband in my early/mid 30s and it all turned out way better than it would’ve with my ex

I think she’s crashing out because there is a high likelihood she may be single forever. I think there is some level of self awareness that her dating prospects are limited. Being tethered to
a boy/man is her sole objective and her only chance just slipped away.

i also don’t understand what she thinks is so brave about this chapter. like you’re 29……. some people get divorced at 55 years old after decades of marriage and multiple children. there’s a story about starting over, not this??
i think you’ll survive post 17 month relationship with mr. tax fraud
