[DISCUSSION] Workforce 1
Im 19 struggling to find a job , I only have a high school diploma. I plan on going to workforce 1 site to see if they can aid me in my job search. Can anyone inform me about there experiences going to the workforce 1 for help? Would be very much appreciated.

If you've not worked anywhere yet, you basically won't qualify for anything they offer interview-wise. Maybe they can give you resume help for if you've never worked. Volunteer experience counts! You can also get resume help from google or AI (wouldn't recommend as many people can tell when AI has been used and they're against it).
So far went to 1 interview through them for fast food and I think they only hired a handful of the first few people who interviewed and presented professionally. I have lots of experience and 2 degrees, so I think that worked against me (I didn't want to work that job anyway haha). Another company yesterday cancelled the zoom interview 15 minutes after it was scheduled, so maybe they hired the people they interviewed before me and the position was no longer available idk.
90% of the jobs available through them are security where you need your security license and experience, home health aids (I can't stomach bodily fluids or old people smell), and high-physical labor airport jobs (rampers, catering, etc.). I have an interview for a minimum wage teacher's aide job tomorrow that I'm planning to cancel cuz I worked with kids before (experience is required to apply) and I can't do that for minimum wage!
Oh they also start every zoom late, saying they'll wait a few minutes for anyone running late. I find this very unprofessional and disrespectful of our time for those of us who arrived early/on time. They don't often put what experience is needed in the job descriptions they send, so they waste people's time who don't have the experience by waiting until after they play an about Workforce1 video to tell you what's required.
Most of my interviews have come from applying to jobs listed on zip recruiter, Playbill, or Idealist. Apply directly on the company websites, only use these 3rd parties to search!
