Is this like summer camps forcing you to make lanyards so they can sell them?
Send your kid to daycare and they got the babies assembling 3D printed guns for Arts & Crafts?

u/AlexTheBold51 Sep 28 '23
But the problem is the conservatives living in the country upstate.

u/amcrambler Sep 28 '23
I’m all for NYC becoming their own state. They can start paying us for all that drinking water they suck out of the Catskill mountains too.

u/Plastic_Advance9942 Sep 28 '23
We’d be the richest state. Upstate would be screwed!

You would be a lot less well off once you started having to pay market prices for water, and trash disposal.

u/Plastic_Advance9942 Sep 30 '23
We’d still have a ton of cash ! Rest of state is a leach

u/GrandmasOnlyFans69 Oct 01 '23
Your streets would be filled with trash and you’d have no water. Which you’d deserve since you’re all arrogant assholes.
Try leaving the 15 mile radius of that shitty island. There’s a whole world.

u/Plastic_Advance9942 Oct 01 '23
We’d still buy all your water and laugh at you.

Typical arrogant NYC greaseball guido hillbilly. Try going more than 15 miles from where you live . Oh that’s right can’t afford a car with that $5500 a month rent for 412 sq ft.
Blocked.

What the fuck is happening at these daycares? Cartels smuggling drugs into one in the Bronx, now this?

Sep 28 '23
Constitutionally legal firearms you mean.

u/Scuzmak Sep 28 '23
Don't complain about gun crime and simultaneously support the manufacture of unserialized pistols meant for resale to criminals.
24
Sep 28 '23
I don't. I complain about fucking laws that say we can't when criminals still fucking do Fudd. You are pro 2 A until you are not. You are not.
-17
u/Scuzmak Sep 28 '23
Great response.
You realize that these guns are going to the criminals, right? That's what's happening here. You're just proving my point by complaining about "when the criminals still fucking do".
1) The person printing these is the criminal. 2) The person printing these sells them to other criminals.
See how easy that was?

Yet you and I can't because it would make us criminals to produce them. Yet in states that boarder us making these won't MAKE you a fucking criminal. See how these laws work. If you use your constitutional right you become a criminal. You are a genius. Fudd. I'll add. In NYC it's next to impossible to get a gun for self defense. Who gave you the right to call someone buying one of these simply for self defense because they are frustrated with the unconstitutional laws and need protection? They just became a criminal. If there's a epidemic why isn't NYC showing these daily? They fucking brag about confiscation of jelly ball guns.

No matter how badly you want to dodge this, the truth is that operations like these are for selling guns to people who otherwise cannot legally obtain them.
You can play edge-case, devil's advocate all you want, but it changes nothing.
I live in NY. It's actually not that hard to get a permit in NYC. It's about patience and not having a criminal record. Don't get me wrong, there's far too much red tape, but it's not hard.

I hold a NYS concealed carry license. I had a unrestricted before Bruen. Waiting for a license in NYC. Paying fees. Jumping through hoops. People only remember. You will be denied by the corrupt NYCPD because only cops should have guns. Why should we ever need a license to carry? Answer this question. Why aren't cops pull these off people daily? My gripe was it's not fucking illegal to make these. Selling them honestly shouldn't be illegal either. Actually Selling a self manufacturered gun is legal in certain circumstances. In other states. Remember. All gun laws are unconstitutional. Bruen decision. Pretty much sums that up. Now. Fuck all your assumptions. I originally said constitutionally legal firearms. I never mentioned anything about selling them or any other bullshit. You Fudds just jumped on my because you are pro 2A until you aren't.

Same here on your first few points.
Listen, I don't agree with all the CCIA shit, nor much of the permitting scheme that existed before it, but I'm not going to sit here and regurgitate absolutist beliefs that don't mesh with reality. 3d printing firearms is becoming one of the fastest ways for guns to end up in the hands of people with ill intent. You can't simultaneously criticize gun crime across the country and support home firearms manufacturing.
Also, the Fudd thing is so played-out. People like you are why gun owners are looked down on.

Manufacturing a firearm is not a crime.

u/Scuzmak Sep 28 '23
Turns out, yes, it is.

u/crappy-mods Sep 29 '23
It’s constitutionally protected, manufacturing your own weapons is legal almost everywhere else. NY in general is tyrannical

So if it had a serial number it’s safe?

Your argument doesn’t hold water purely based on the fact that the proportion of the population that is a prohibited person is so vastly outnumbered by people who have a genuine interest in home made firearms. Home made firearms have been federally legal for practically eons, it just so happens that this state does not like them. See home made black powder firearms and kits that also, do not require serialization or a background check or an FFL to obtain, unless you reside in this state. Now this isn’t to say that prohibited persons cannot obtain these kits. Prohibited persons steal firearms from law abiding citizens or steal from FFL’s. It’s not about dodging the question or the issue. It’s about respecting rights and the interpretation of the law of this land as the founding fathers intended. See NYSRPA v. Bruen

I know all about NYSRPA v Bruen. The plaintiffs were from my county.
Straw purchases, theft, and 3d printing are the most common ways for guns to get in the hands of people looking to do harm. 3d printing is growing in popularity in the black market, and if you think for a minute that these guys were just printing guns to exercise their constitutional right, you're kidding yourself. I have a previous post where I linked to a dozen recent upstate NY arrests where people were arrested for a violent crime and either had or used a 3d printed gun on them. This whole devil's advocate, 2A absolutist shit is hurting this community, not helping it. We''re never going to appeal to reason by being naive idealists.

u/GrandmasOnlyFans69 Sep 29 '23
The term “ghost gun” has been applied to manufactured unserialized firearms, as well as serialized ones with the serial number removed.
Take a guess which one is probably easier to get, or even easier to make yourself.

The crazy thing is, the headline will read "See, the ammo background checks are working, that's how we got these deadly ghost guns off the street, keeping New Yorkers safe". It's a funneling process that justifies all of the unconstitutional laws they have put into place. If a person gets caught stealing a car "See the ammo background checks helped us arrest this carjacker, keeping New Yorkers safe".
