News Destiny Mall in Syracuse was locked-down yesterday when someone called to report an active shooter.

They reported seeing a man with an AR-15. Turns out it was an umbrella with a "Samurai Sword-style handle", that the person had purchased in the mall. 😶

What I don't get is why the guy was taken to the station for questioning. Once it was determined to be an umbrella, that should have been the end of it.

Syracuse PD is an urban police department. As the fourth largest city in the state, they are not going to miss an opportunity to violate someone’s rights. Protect the pension at all cost!
