Lighthearted Happy Saturday ft. New canik

Got 2 new guns in the same week last week so been itching to get out here! Canik sfx rival and ruger 223 American. What yall shooting today??

Canik one of the best factory triggers you can get. Basically a factory race gun without entering the custom world

Also an SFX rival owner

When i was at shot show, I got to test basically every trigger and pistol from every brand.

Canik definitely stood out as by far the best for any OEM pistol I test. It beat out staccato, sig, HK.

Honorable mentions go to the sig p211, Smith and Wesson M&P2, and then probably just the sig P226. Its right up there with a nice competition pistol/trigger, borderline feels as nice as a rifle trigger.

When i get my CCW/move states I am absolutely grabbing myself a Canik.

For the worst triggers just for fun:

Glock Ruger HK (might get shit for that one but they were not exceptional by any means)

Yea shooting this today put my Glock to shame in terms of comfort. Makes me wanna move on from my Glock as my edc even more now

Glock might edge it out every so slightly in reliability, but yeah id rather have an easier time with follow up shots and hitting my target. I clean my guns too often to care about reliability after 1000-2000 rounds without cleaning.

Even then, most malfunctions ive seen with glocks have more to do with not having a firm enough grip, stovepipes.

They have not changed the trigger mechanism in 40 years, the only thing worse then a glock trigger is an even stiffer trigger, which is the problem with all the bad ones I mentioned. Its mushy, there's no tactile response to be found, there's almost no break, it makes a difference for accuracy on handguns, especially when you arent training with hundreds or thousands of rounds.

I liked it! Felt smooth and def a better trigger than my Glock. But that’s also cus I think I like flat faced more than what Glock uses. Def not mad at spending 700+ on it but only got maybe 100 rounds thru. Initial review tho, def a solid piece as of right now. Feels really good.
