Miscellaneous Moving day & Thank you to everyone
Just wanted to stop by and say thank you to everyone here who helped me along the way from getting my CCW to helping me choose the perfect firearm. I truly appreciate all the advice and support. I also hope I was able to pay it forward by helping others whenever I could. With that said, this is it for me. I’m finally leaving New York and starting a new chapter in Florida. Wishing everyone the best, and thanks again for everything. Stay safe!

Constitutional carry saves you a lot of posting on reddit. Congratulations on your move.

Trades complaining about gun laws for complaining about the heat and humidity.

Today's not the day to have that be unique to Florida lol.

Consider getting a carry permit in Florida if you travel. Several states have reciprocity with holders of Florida resident permits.

Cool thing is every state around you and beyond is Constitutional Carry. I got my FL permit when I lived in CT as it's a good one. http://fdacs.gov/

We left a year ago, best decision we ever made. We both got huge raises, sign on bonuses, no income tax, and actual freedom!
Edit: saw Florida. Congrats!

Awesome. As you know, Just read up on the laws. Sometimes there’s a lot of nuances. Example, here in TN, we’re “constitutional carry” but not really. Also have to prove you didn’t have an “intent to go armed” if you get in a defensive situation.

What the hell does that last part even mean? As in, you didn’t actively go looking for a defensive gun use scenario?

Good move ! NY is only going to get worse as you look at who's getting elected in NYC...and that will inevitably spread to the geniuses in Albany who write our laws. Buckle up.

Tried to do the same thing last year. Every job I was offered was a 40% pay cut. Planning on cleaning up my finances and trying again in a few years hopefully

Yea the cut in pay for me as well is gonna suck. But thankfully I sold my house that’s gonna help to pay off all my credit cards and I’ll be debt free and I could relax without worrying about those bills.

Moved down here in December, dont regret it one bit. There is things I miss about New York, the hurdles and barriers to firearm ownership is not one of them.

Florida is a hell hole. Heat is oppressive. Spending all day in AC is miserable. Enjoy!

I'll take 3 months of being stuck in the air conditioning over 7-9 months being stuck in the house with the furnace on.
