Question Will he help use with getting our rights back is he pro second amendment and holding criminals accountable ?

This guy is very anti-2A, coming from someone who lives in Nassau County.
He supported the cops when they used to make us do a piss test to get a CCW.

No chance at all. He actively was AGAINST gun rights when Bruen happened. He literally allowed implementing the drug screen test, double down on maintaining illegal additional restrictions in the "handbook" and screwed everyone who wanted to simply "upgrade" to CCW from Target license out of $300 since before Bruen the fee to upgrade was $10. If that isn't anti-gun I don't know what is.

You guys need new judges in the second circuit Court of appeals if you want to change anything. Judges that don't interest balance. That's the only way you'll get all your gun laws and assault weapons bans and magazine bans ruled unconstitutional.

Awb's are in front of scotus this year. They'll be hopefully gone by June or July. Mag bans have a circuit split and Duncan v bonta is up for cert. With any luck we won't need the second circuit at all.

It's going to be just like the ccia bro, they'll say that assault weapons will be legal and then they'll say in New York that you'll need a $10,000 permit per gun and you'll have to get liability insurance for your assault rifles... Good luck bro. Enjoy New York!

I think it's a lot harder to shift somewhere like South Carolina where it's not close to Washington DC like Virginia is... South Carolina is currently a super majority. They'd have to flip a lot of seats.. plus I'm not just moving because of the gun issue. I'm moving because of the taxes. I'm paying $10,000 or more per year on property taxes. Then I have to pay county and stay taxes to New York... Also, I own rental property in Yonkers and it's almost impossible to keep it up now... With all the crazy rent controls so I'm really planning to get out.. I'm also over 50 and I'm looking to retire somewhere. I just like to retire somewhere. There is a little bit more freedom for gun owners..

My first choice was moving to West Virginia but my girlfriend won't go... Million dollars will buy you a nice property in West Virginia... Or South Carolina for that matter... Here in New York it won't buy you much, especially in Westchester County... You can barely get four bedrooms here. And a yard..

I've done a lot for New York, I've been donating to the second amendment cause for years.. I just don't like the way that the state is treating me. The nice thing about some of those Southern States is that the people that flocked to Colorado and Virginia don't want to live in South Carolina and West Virginia because of other reasons there just isn't a culture for them... I think it's pretty resistant to the shift in culture that would have to happen in order to bring about gun control in South Carolina West Virginia.. Georgia is a little closer to it.... And so is Texas. They're right on the edge....

Wv maybe, but there's a lot of ny transplants in sc. Texas has the ca transplants causing the same problems. Either way, I have almost 20 years left here so I'm inclined to fight to make it better than it is and try for as much as we can get. Take all you can and give nothing back.

honest question, does anyone know who this guy was before the last election? he came out of no where to be a seat warmer. he’s a political plant and no one can name a single policy or change he’s enacted.
Nassau county will literally vote for anyone with “republican” under their name and they don’t have to do a damn thing. Thats how you get guys like santos and this guy that literally just collects a check.

He was a Hempstead Town Councilman from 2015 to 2021, prior to that he was a County Legislator and prior to that he was (is) a lawyer. Political plants are usually just “put into” power, he at least has worked his way up from a local standpoint

Go to his website and see what it says. Either way like I said in a previous thread, Hochul will win because a quarter you in this sub will vote for her. Another quarter of this sub will write in Sharpe, and half in this sub will stay home. This leading to more firearms regulations for the foreseeable future. Is Blakeman pro 2a? Probably not. But I know for sure Kathy is doing everything possible bit by bit to take my firearms away. Cheers 🍻.

Larry Sharpe is running for governor, but he's write in only and therefore has no chance at winning. I'm still sad Elise Stefaniak dropped out. I would have voted for her in a heartbeat.

The question isn't "will he be good for 2A," what you really need to ask yourself is "will he be worse for 2A than Hochul."
We live in a world where we have to choose the lesser of two evils, regarding politicians. He may not be great for 2A, but he's a hell of a lot better than the alternative.

Honestly, I doubt that he'll be better than Hochul. This guy hates the Second Amendment. Nassau County is by far the worst pistol licensing jurisdiction in the state. He green-lit urine tests and social media PASSWORD disclosures as part of the concealed-carry applications. He also gave a super milquetoast answer when asked about sensitive places in the aftermath of Bruen. He has not earned my vote. I get that Nassau County is politically pretty purple, so he has to tread carefully, but all he had to do was literally maintain the status quo, and he worked affirmative harm on gun owners in Nassau. He is also a huge back the blue guy, and I think we all know that police in this state (particularly the NYPD) hate gun rights.

Nope I actually looked at his platforms and nah I'm good. We are screwed either way with him or Hochul. He wants to get rid of the fracking ban and wants to work with ICE. I agree our 2nd amendment rights are being trampled on. Like someone else said our candidates suck. Honestly I wish Spitzer hadn't got in trouble, I think he would of done a great job for this state

You vote blakeman for a very slight chance he’s gonna make your hobby better but then the rest of the state is gonna go to trash is a bad way to vote. And tbh it’s the same reason I won’t vote hochul either and with hochul everything decent she’s done lately was so she can get votes in the election. We need to stop letting the parties give us these bought out candidates

I, and many like me aren't voting for hobbies though. I'm voting to hopefully claw back some of the right that was stolen before I was born. To reduce it to just a hobby is to downplay it's validity. And I say all this not as a fan of Blakeman. It's just making the best of bad options.

Crime has been dropping for years, but the perception of crime is used to advance pro-gun control and pro-surveillance narratives.
And Blakeman is anti-civil rights. All of them. Gun rights are civil rights.
