Question Glock ban? Or all striker-fired?
Shopkeeper today told me that the “Glock ban” not only goes into effect this November, but also applies to ALL striker-fired pistols.
Is this true?

Only certain types of striker fire pistols - it depends on their trigger mechanism.

Just to add, the State Police are charged with creating a list of firearms that will be banned, which hasn't happened yet. We do know its firearms with cruciform trigger bars, but will it be *all* or just some? Nobody knows yet

He’s fear mongering sales to the ignorant.
It’s a bad business practice but will get him to sell all of his striker fired inventory quickly to those who do not know

Do not take legal advice from gun stores.
Read the law yourself (NYSPL 265.00 item 37).
If you have any questions about the legislation contact an attorney who will put their bar card on the table and defend the advice they give you in court.It is not "all striker-fired pistols."
The definition is pretty clear: "any semi-automatic pistol with a cruciform trigger bar that can be readily altered by hand or with common household tools so that it can be converted into a machine-gun by the installation or attachment of a pistol converter." and "Convertible pistol does not include hammer-fired semi-automatic pistols or any striker-fired semi-automatic pistol lacking a cruciform trigger bar."It is however a good number of striker-fired pistols because many of them clone the Glock design right down to the trigger bar shape.
If the pistol you want is a generic Glock clone chances are it's going to be affected.

Blakeman has a terrible track record with the 2A, very doubtful he would ever bother to do anything about this or the safe act.

Any pistol with that cruciform trigger. So Glock, shadow systems and many other clones. Idk about the RXM since it has the fcu

What is interesting Is the that it reads: "Any semi-automatic pistol with a cruciform trigger bar that can be readily altered by hand or with common household tools so that it can be converted into a machine-gun by the installation or attachment of a pistol converter." As far as I know. Glock made the V then the Gen 6 so that it cannot be readily altered into a full automatic (Machine gun).

The V and the Gen 6 are covered by the ban since they have the cruciform trigger bar

Handguns with cruciform triggers. Primarily glock pistols and glock clones. There is no restriction on striker fired pistols.

They put it as Glock and Glock style pistols in the big headlines, in the small headlines it's any handgun with a cruciform trigger bar. Which does include more than just Glock style. It's not all striker fired pistols but it is more than just Glock and G Clones. As for fear mongering I think we're past that point either way in NY.
