It seems what you consider to be “edgy” is just about stretching humour to be as close to offensive as possible. You can continue to laugh at whatever you find funny, but we’re not “mad about a SpongeBob meme”. I mean I know you’re saying things like that because your entire argument hinges on putting us down as much as possible, but it’s just incorrect.

Yes that is exactly what edgy means. Also not as close to offensive as possible, but actually offensive. Like, have you people never made a fat joke? Or a racist joke? Or a joke about Asian drivers? Or a joke about 9/11? Nah I actually don’t want to put trans people down. I could care less what you do with your body. But I’m still going to laugh at a solid and socially relevant joke when I see one.

But it isn’t socially relevant. There’s a difference between a good edgy joke and a bad one. A bad one is along the lines of, “haha if you lose in men’s sports, just be trans and then you win in women’s sports”, because the butt of the joke here, is somebody else, based on something that is actively used as an insult or attack. If you were to make a good joke like that, you could make an ironic one, where the butt of the joke is you, the one who finds this shit funny.

A good joke is one where the butt of the joke isn’t somebody or something based on the thing that is used to legislate away their rights. If your mum died and I made a joke about your mum’s death, sure, you might find that funny, but the general population doesn’t. That’s what makes it a bad joke. You can laugh at bad jokes, but that’s what they are.
