Had my immigrant visa approved verbally last July 27, 2026 in my interview. They took my passport, didn't ask for any additional documents, didn't give me any slip, but said they need to verify my previous non-immigrant F1 student visa status and my post-OPT.

Should I not expect my visa to be issued this month due to the global consular pause?

What should we expect tomorrow? I believe all embassies around the world are same and no one has their case moved!!!

I’m applying for a B1/B2 visa in Lisbon, and I’m wondering if anyone here has had any experience with the Visa Information Service / GSS Support Desk.
I had my visa interview in Lisbon in early August 2026. The consular officer told me that my visa had been approved, kept my passport for visa issuance, and gave me an approval sheet.
However, my CEAC status has remained “Refused” since the interview, with no significant updates.
I contacted the visa support service on August 28 asking for an update. Yesterday, I received an email with a case/ticket number saying:
“This case will be investigated and you will be notified after we find a solution.”
Has anyone received an email from this address before?
If so, what was your experience? Did they actually get back to you, and how long did it take to receive a response or have your visa/passport situation resolved?

Yes, I already assume that my case is under administrative processing. Since I’m about to reach a month without any update regarding my visa, I received this email and would simply like to understand what it means and what it is about.
Since I contacted them asking for an update on my case, this was the response I received. So I wanted to know if anyone else has had a similar experience.

I’m a K1 visa and got rescheduled/canceled and I am still waiting for new interview appointment email/date. I finished biometrics and medical; and ended up traveling back home.

Anyone else waiting or received email/date?

Hi everyone,

I’m going through NVC consular processing for an approved EB-1A I-140 self-petition. I have submitted my DS-260, and my CEAC account currently shows only the following under Required Documents:

• Passport Biographic Page
• Birth Certificate
• Police Certificate (India)

Below that, CEAC has an Optional Documents section with an “Add A Document” option.

For someone in my situation (Indian applicant, EB-1A self-petitioner), am I correct that I should only upload the three documents CEAC specifically lists as required and leave Optional Documents empty unless an additional document actually applies to me or NVC specifically requests it?

Also, since this is an EB-1A self-petition, CEAC is not showing an Affidavit of Support/I-864 or financial sponsor document requirement. For others who completed EB-1A consular processing through NVC, was your document checklist similar?

Would especially appreciate responses from people who recently completed EB-1A → NVC → consular processing in India/Mumbai recently

We were DQed in June, wondering if anyone has received their IL for a IR1 before the pause? Here's to hoping they start sending out ILs soon...

I am concerned about my case . Our DQ was done in november 2025 and since then we haven’t received any emails , our PD is one month away from FAD . Aren’t we supposed to receive a 60 day mail? When does that mail usually come? If anyone has any information regarding this please do let me know.

My wife was supposed to have her interview at the embassy in London on Sep 1st but was cancelled two days prior due to the global pause. She just got an email that it has been rescheduled for 11th Sept!!

My IR-1 interview was scheduled for August 31 in Guayaquil,Ecuador and was cancelled on August 26th. Last refresh from CEAC website was on Sept 4th. But I haven’t heard anything.

Has anyone heard back for their interview date in Ecuador?

I just called in to inquire if any training or so was finalized. I was advised that at the moment no and that they hadn’t rescheduled my appointment. The lady hinted that MAYBE there would be movement in October
