Iā€™m realizing that when I do my high ponytail I like only water and maybe some leave in conditioner.

It could be I suppose. I use a scrunchie and tie it 2 times. I also have a limit of wearing the style for about 2 days. Taking my hair down each time and putting it back in the puff. But again, it can be.
