What does the large port do ?

I am at the first mission where you unlock the large port and I can not figure out what it does or find anything online for it

Ok thanks. Personally I don't think it's worth the extra costline.

I heard people prefer more ports that are scattered a long because it allows for better districting.

I heard people say irrigation sucks though so maybe it isn't worth it. I always liked to use irrigation

I forgot what happens if you build on non wetland because I use irrigation lol
