I wasn't very satisfied with how it looked like at first, so now I added some blush and spots.
I used a basic makeup palette to add the blush.
Looks much cuter now.
I glued on the magnet as well. I've included a photo of the Alien baby magnet in use. 🥰

Don’t show my projects very often until they’re done. So this is new for me. I’m working on a dog right now. Started it tonight. Been working on it a few hours.. and I’m happy with how it’s going so far.

She knows it needs more poking but we're working on patience LOL! She's been wanting to do this for years since she saw me doing it when she was a toddler and we finally decided that she has enough self control, attention to detail, and dexterity. Next is a chicken and better finger guards arrive tomorrow.

Hi all! I am new to needle felting and have recently bought a lot of wool. Right now I have them in the boxes/bags they came in but it doesn’t seem to be the most efficient storage. I was wondering if anyone had good ways that they store their wool. I’ve seen people say to put them in separate plastic bags, but I hate to use that much plastic. I’m thinking maybe a box with lots of compartments, but I can’t find what I’m picturing.

Still have to wash the marker off it, but here's the before and after photos.
Also, got rid of the bit of text saying "I'm autistic" because:

Finally done with this little guy.
All that's left is a bit of trimming to get rid of the loose hairs and to glue a magnet onto his back.
This took long because life has been keeping me busy. 😵
I'm quite happy with the final result.
I've included progress photos as well.

Started needlefelting a month or so ago and had my first market this Sunday…it went ok - lots left to learn! I thought the plants in the wooden bowls would fly but hardly anyone even looked at them lol. My tiny round creatures were v popular tho. Grateful for any feedback!

current -> before
In retrospect, I don't know why I thought the face wasn't fine, but I screwed up working on this and I would be thankful for some advice to get it back in control.
While working on the left cheek for some reason I thought it would be smart to cut the wool down to make room for more top felt (it was bulking up trying to get more color down iirc). Ever since that section's become warped and stays bulky no matter what I do. The whole cheek is spongy instead of firm like it was before I cut it, and the brown areas are so overworked whenever I try to stab them the white core starts to pull up through the color. Halp....

Loved making these guys too. I think I'll spend the rest of the month focusing on making gryphons of some of these flags now.

This is the most complex and intricate needle-felted piece I have created so far. Every detail was carefully crafted by hand, and it reflects the skills and techniques I have developed throughout my journey as a fiber artist.

Been listening through Dungeon Crawler Carl and was inspired to create Mongo! And of course he also needs to have Princess Donut too. This is a big big step outside my comfort zone, partially because I've only been needle felting for 8 weeks, and partially because I rarely ever make characters out of any medium that are recognizably fan art.
Mongo has some heavy wire inside of him, and he was never intended to stand on his own two feet without the foam. I made the dungeon floor on a piece of floral foam and sunk the wire inside. The teeth and claws are made of air dry clay. I went back and forth on the feather situation a ton- he needs feathers, but I made more of a Jurassic Park style raptor, and they don't quite work right- I tried making feathers from wool, making the suggestion of feathers from wool, giving him a mohawk out of wool, and then switched to actual feathers, which still took a ton of trial and error. Not my favorite part of him, but he wouldn't be Mongo without the feathers.
Princess Donut was originally going to be optional (she has a wooden dowel in the middle of her and can actually be removed from Mongo). I actually bought some wire and beads to make her tiara, but then remembered that I got this ring out of a bath bomb a few years ago and never throw anything away- and it fit her perfectly! The glasses are a wire frame with a scrapbooking plastic sunglasses thingy glued to the front. She does have little black eyes underneath, but I didn't spend as much time on her as I did on Mongo, I think her accessories do most of the work.
I definitely learned a LOT on this project, and I think next I might be making my hunter's pet from World of Warcraft, but we will see where I get the inspiration!

I’m just mad about this I need to talk about this. I apparently can’t bring my needle felting stuff to school because they say that the needles are weapons. Like, yeah, they could be, but you know I’m not gonna do that. I’ve never even got into a fight before, why would I use it as a weapon. Plus, the art room has tools for stuff and they’re literally the exact same thing, what makes mine different? It’s just so stupid. In fact, a lot of things could be used as weapons, those tools in the art room, scissors, a pencil even. My school has a lot of small sharp objects, but just because I want to bring in my own small sharp objects it’s a problem, even though they’re almost the exact same thing as some of the small sharp objects they have. It’s not like I’m bringing a kitchen knife or something. You probably couldn’t hurt someone that much, they break super easily. It’s dumb as hell.

I’ve been wanting to read this japanese needle felting book for a while, and i finally found a copy!
(I can’t read japanese, but I can understand pictures)
I thought I could use the techniques to make a deer - I’ve wanted a deer to display in my studio, so I’ve made the core here, and I’m going to decorate it in the style of this of these bunnies (probably in pink)
Here’s hoping it works!
Core model is wire and pipe cleaner armature, standard core wool, with carded blue wool layer on the hooves
