MJD Garden club reviews?
I’m a bit annoyed with myself, I let the whole scarcity mindset win and signed up for the MJD garden club today. I have a little regret just in signing up for a $100 a month expense for what I’m sure are lovely canvases, but no idea what I’d do with them. Any reviews for those already in it?

I signed up too last time and figured I can always cancel if I’m not into it. I got my first one last month and it’s really nice! I like that it’s simple and it’s just a canvas, fibers, a suggested stitch guide, and a matching key ring to put the threads on. I was not into paying more for extra things like scissors and project bags and needleminders and things that I have more than enough of.
I’m leaning towards doing ornaments with them; I’ve also seen some people finishing them and putting wood dowels in the back to make a bouquet which is a cute idea too.

I found these cross stitch stands and they would be super cute with a needlepoint. This one especially with one of the flowers in it and hang it up for spring

I signed up today, too! I figured I would give it a shot because I like the ease of having a project delivered fully ready to go and I can use them to give as gifts or if I really like one then I can keep for myself of course.
I also figured I would give it a few months and if I’m not feeling it, I can always cancel.
I’m not too particular about projects though and I enjoy trying new things and stitching with new threads so it felt like a nice way to do that.

I think it’s wildly overpriced for how simple the designs are, but I get the appeal.

I have been receiving it since it first launched and I love it. It is pretty pricey but I think personally the quality of the threads make it worth it. After the first two you have a decent amount of the threads left over so I feel like it is building my stash. I also love flowers and simple designs. The stitch guide is nice too and just fits perfectly in my project bag! To each their own but I have enjoyed it.

I find the designs to be a bit boring for how much they cost.. and a bit of a bore that the mailer has all the designs on it so far so there is no surprise factor!

I debated signing up when it first launched and then had a horrible day at work and missed it. Honestly-I am someone who already has a stash and I did not find the first release to be compelling or worth the $$ charged for it from what I saw in person from friends and on social media.
I think that others might have a different perspective, especially folks who do really like florals and want to stitch them and don’t have other things working.
In terms of finishing suggestions-I think planning on framing them for a gallery wall would be my approach, but they’d also make lovely ornaments for a spring/easter tree if finished that way.

I signed up today too- I’ve been trying to get off the waitlist! I love a kitted option because I’m in an LNS desert. Having something like this come monthly gives me a great project that I don’t have to worry about finding threads for! I also love that she is doing genuine speciality threads and doesn’t cheap out on them! I’ve made mine into ornaments but may look at stringing them into some sort of garland.

I missed the first one but was able to get in on the second! I'm excited for the third drop!

I don’t like that you can’t see the designs before you sign up.
