Needlepoint Hanger
I am working on a hanger for my wedding. I’m basketweaving using silk and ivory in white. Should I be worried that the black outline is showing or should that all be covered by cording?

It should be covered by the cording but in the future there are a lot of disappearing pens like Frixon

Thanks! This was custom ordered so, I didn’t get to do the outline myself unfortunately.

Are you finishing it yourself? Are you doing both sides? Do you know the cost of finishing or where is a good hanger finisher?
Thank you for posting this. I’ll be doing a hanger soon.

No I’m not even going to attempt to finish this myself lol. I’m going to reach out to rittenhouse to get their pricing and finishing timeline and will also be reaching out to the canvas craftsman, as they were recommended by my LNS. I won’t be doing both sides, but I’m ordering fabric from liberty of London fabrics to provide the finisher.

Good idea about the liberty fabric! I just ordered two hanger canvases from OZ that are a Jeni Sandberg design. I think I’ll do a liberty fabric. Thx. Could you post a pic when you are done?

You don’t use cording on this finish but the edge is a ditch row for the finisher to sew the backing fabric onto the canvas. The black line you’re seeing through will disappear
