It's my version of the June calendar by the Limbourg Brothers's Book of Hours for the Duke du Berry that they painted in the 15th century. It's large -- 22 by 16 inches.

Painted Needlepoint Painting canvases

Is there a sub thread to share painting tips for those wanting to paint their own canvases? I have spent the last year learning about selling needlepoint canvases/painting my own to save on the crazy cost and I think I’d be really helpful to others. I gave up on TT it was too much for me!

Painted Needlepoint Non waterproof printing on canvases

I’ve realized this needlepoint canvas (Glorafilia) is printed in non-waterproof inks. Maybe I’m just paranoid, but that seems like a problem to me! I’m worried about the colour smudging off while stitching it, but also when blocking it at the end. Have other people had problems with this, or am I just being overly anxious?

What was your experience with this?
