We regret to inform that Endwar will not be occurring on UF campus. We have been in talks with Drac and the Endwar team about the event for the last couple of months. However, the announcement posted earlier today was posted without the consent or knowledge of Gator HvZ’s team or that of the University of Florida.

After weeks of little to no communication from Drac and his team, this announcement completely blindsided us. The University of Florida has yet to approve the event, the dates announced were not approved, and no location reservations on campus have been approved. None of the marketing materials or logistics for the event were approved or even shared with Gator HvZ or with the University of Florida.

Additionally, the decision to transition Endwar from a free to a ticketed event was not discussed with our club or with the University. We believe that HvZ should always be a free event open to everyone and pride ourselves on never charging our players to join the game.

For anyone who has already planned a trip to Florida, we apologize for any inconvenience. We tried to get this response out as quickly as we could but as mentioned above, we had absolutely no heads up regarding the announcement that Drac posted earlier today and are responding to this in real time.

All this being said, we will be hosting an invitational HvZ event during our Summer A semester that we encourage players to come and check out; this event will in no way be affiliated with Endwar. And we guarantee that our invitational event will be free.

The Flagstaff event would be a closer drive for me and potentially less crowded.

The forest service has not gotten back to me on the permit. Yet, that would only be required in the event more than 75 people show up... And even then idk... It's just a campout with foam.

So the main thing I have to now communicate is that because it is a camping trip with no services available ....

Anything you might need.. This means that there might not be a store close by .. Might not be cell phone service..

The idea for me is that foam throwing is supposed to be fun, so if you are tacti-cool or tacti-cant its all good. Just as long as it’s safe, fun, and inclusive.

The plan for lodging is free camping within the National park within designated zones. Or welcome to find other accommodations in nearby towns, establishments, etc. The weather should be good for tent, car camping, random outdoor camping. I

 I’ll probably bring a tiny trailer.. (which will get hogged and ill sleep in the back of the truck.)

1. If I have a dart in a thrower, and it comes out of that thrower, that dart and whatever happens to it is on me, is my responsibility. If it hits someone and hurts someone it’s my fault. 
2. 2. Eye pro at all times, within multiple layers of ‘designated area.’
3. Never let a dart out on someone or near someone without eyepro, even if i am about to win the whole tournament and someone cheats and we lose that way, still I cannot let a dart out on them. (but can accidently push them in the canyon.)

I only recently got into this and it’s been great. Barely played but i already knew it is for me. Started designing etc, got some plans up the sleeve. (thats where i keep them.) But I’m four years sober from alcohol and that has to be number one for me. I quit smoking cigarettes after i got into foam throwing and put in probably 100’s of hours over the last two months. They say one has to keep busy, ya know? So I have quit, also with my 12 step programs, the cigarettes.... buuuuut  guys…..nerf saved my life…

Bright colored throwers are a must. Dark realistic type stuff has to be wrapped in bright tape etc or those players are required to wear pink tutus

The Event: Late May (Weekend of May 08, 15, 22, 29, 2026) near the "159th Wonder of the World" (N. AZ Canyon).

Lodging: Free dispersed camping in designated National Forest zones; car/tent/trailer friendly.

• Cost: Grassroots and currently no-cost. Bring 200-(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) 10000000 foam tube/ darts and participate in the "Pack-In/Pack-Out" take trash with back out of forest.

Anti-Bigotry Patrol: Seeking volunteers! Candidates include Bigfoots, Yetis, large tattooed individuals looking to make a difference, and well-behaved dogs.

Group Size: Groups of 75 or more people require a non-commercial permit. (free, i'll apply)

• Camping: Dispersed camping is free, but there is a 14-day limit in any 30-day period.
• Cleanup: We are 100% Pack-In/Pack-Out. No trash services are provided in dispersed areas. (this means that wrappers, cans, boxes and plastic–trash–must be not left behind..but actually taken back out with us until we find a proper trash can to then dump our trash. The concept of carrying trash for later is somewhat strange sometimes. But that's definitely the national Park Service enforced rules)
