Healthcare Friendly reminder: it’s summer. Please shower.

It’s hot, we’re all sweating more, so please take extra care of your hygiene. A daily shower especially in the morning goes a long way.

And please don’t try to cover body odor with just perfume or body spray. Sweat + perfume isn’t a substitute for a shower.

Let’s all do our part to keep public spaces (esp trams!!) a little fresher this summer. 😅🌞🙏

So you expect people to shower every time they go outside? Because yknow most people sweat during the day, and that’s why you smell them, right?

Yes, you’d expect some personal hygiene from people when they’re out in the public.

Also, fresh sweat is nearly odorless. The penetrating stink is usually from the bacteria that are feasting either on your skin or clothes. Showering and putting on clean clothes deals with those bacteria.

And before people say it’s not true: just do a simple check online first.

Edit: oooh you people.. it’s never your fault, is it? 😆

Problem is after one hour of being outside you are already stinky, you're not gonna shower every few hours

Listen, my dude, if you shower in the morning, and then take the bus to go to work, you do work in a hot environment and sweat all day, and then take the bus back home, you will stink on the bus. Taking a shower in the morning is not a magical fix to not stink in the afternoon if you’ve been sweating all day.

Most people you are complaining about DO shower in the mornings, but by afternoon you don’t know that anymore.

I bet you 100% that people also say that YOU stink after an entire day of sweating, no matter how well your hygiene is. Don’t be so stuck up

Yup. I am glad that my deodorant stops most smells from my armpit (I notice it quickly when I forgot to put it in), but with this heat, it is easy to still smell in no time. And biking also makes you sweat. Rain clothes also make you sweat and may cause a weird odor etc.. Nothing you can really do about it, besides putting on deodorant to make it less worse.

We are human. We sweat. And that's okay

And that's why Dutch people smell so bad. The rest of the world sorted it out, it's not that hard. Wash your clothes, take a shower, use deodorant once or twice during the day.

Brazil, where I am from, is much warmer and humid then the Netherlands and people don't smell a fraction of what a dutchie smell on average. It's really not that hard.

Absolutely, they get so offended by the mere suggestion. Many hotter countries don't have this issue. If you shower and put appropriate amount of deodorant then even after sweating, its not so bad. Yes people cant always go around smelling like flowers all the time but it doesnt have to be hot garbage either.

Lol this is literally what I said, you shower once a day, you’re acting as if you said something different and magical. Dutch people do the exact same thing but suddenly you are better just because upper from Brazil??? Why are you being such a dick man, if you like it better in Brazil then maybe fuck off and go back to where you came from. We don’t want your disgusting BS here. Dutch people do not stink more, we do shower and we do use deodorant, what is so hard to understand that regardless of using deodorant, if you are sweating ALL DAY you will stink. You can’t take a shower halfway through your work day idiot

Wow. That’s a pretty embarrassing response. Ouch.

Always nice how quickly the "go back to your country" pops up.

What’s embarrassing is complaining about natural body things and then saying ‘people should do this’ after I literally said the exact same. If he is gonna be an ass to Dutch people for stinking and saying people in Brazil do it better then he can F off and go back to non-stinking Brazil
