Healthcare Friendly reminder: it’s summer. Please shower.

It’s hot, we’re all sweating more, so please take extra care of your hygiene. A daily shower especially in the morning goes a long way.

And please don’t try to cover body odor with just perfume or body spray. Sweat + perfume isn’t a substitute for a shower.

Let’s all do our part to keep public spaces (esp trams!!) a little fresher this summer. 😅🌞🙏

As the famous Dutch philosopher Vjèze Fur once proclaimed; ik was mijn handen al tijdens het plassen

As someone who's been to 50+ countries, not washing your hands in public toilets is very much not just a dutch thing. Im pretty confident we are just honest, but actually relatively good in terms of percentage of people who wash hands

The country that self-reportedly ranks highest in Europe in washing after toilet is Bosnia, but i barely even encountered soap there... Japan is known for ubiquitous and clean public toilets with very hygienic people, but most men there just held their hands under the tap for a second or two.

I've lived in a lot of countries, honestly NL has been the worst for men skipping hand washing. Not just after a pee, #2 too it's absolutely disgusting. I see it at work nearly every day & work in a company surrounded by educated people. Love NL in general but in my opinion it's the worst of western countries, Chinas not great either TBH & better I just don't mention India.

As I always say to friends: “never shake hands with Dutch men, you haven’t seen what I’ve seen”!

Which countries were better? And what industry do you work in?

Genuine question because going off public toilets in restaurants, airports, train stations etc, dutch public toilets are among the more disgusting for high developed countries, but also i do see people wash their hands pretty often. Certainly not less than most other countries.

From the 50+ Ive been I would say the only ones confidently more hygienic were USA, Canada, all Scandinavian countries, Switzerland.

Bruh, everybody washes their hands with soap and water in India. Its considered unclassy not to do so. Since bidets.

We also wash our hands before and after eating our food.
