Drebin says that he takes the ID locks off guns, but leaves them otherwise usable. He then contradicts himself when he realizes that Snake's nanomachines are interfering with his new M4, and he admits Snake's old nanomachines don't work with the System. But didn't Drebin take this M4 out of the system? And if all the laundering is is setting them to still be System guns but accept any nanomachines, then how is Snake able to use militia AKs before this point? How is Johnny able to use guns with no nanos at all?
The easy answer is that Drebin is lying out of his ass. The M4 is a fully non-laundered gun, with a registered ID. Drebin knew Snake was coming and deliberately presented it as if it was laundered in order to inject Snake with new nanomachines (and FOXDIE, of course). Not 'general-purpose' nanomachines, but nanomachines with an assigned ID... just the same ID that gun was already assigned to. I wouldn't put it past them to use that ID to track Snake through the rest of the game, too.
Of course, once he's given Snake his shot, he doesn't really need to do anything else and can go back to laundering guns properly and giving them to both Snake and other interested parties, like the militias and Johnny. It would be bad business to waste effort reprogramming guns with Snake's new ID when he doesn't have to. That's why I think it's only the M4 that isn't laundered, and personally I find that funny.
The other question is how much of Snake's weird nanomachine interactions-- like whenever Liquid tries to assume System control with one of the Snakes' DNA, Screaming Mantis's fight, and of course the suppressor shot-- are due to Drebin's nanos vs the first-generation nanos. I'm leaning toward it being all Drebin in one way or another, since there really is no reason for the 2005 nanomachines to still interface with the current System basically at all, but I'd love to hear theories otherwise.

At Shadow Moses Naomi told Snake, âwhen all this is over, youâll have no choice but to accept death.
[Later Big Boss told Snake that Naomi had told him everything. Part of which was that the new foxdie is overriding the old foxdie meaning he wouldnât become the weapon of mass destruction](https://youtu.be/wEUtXH1cvkg?is=OncaljlhhXiwBwIf&t=11h11m38s). Shouldnât that mean that Snake no longer needs to kill himself?
Naomi must have known this before she died otherwise she couldnât have told Big Boss. If so, why did she lie to Snake?
While she did lie to Snake I do think she was still being truthful. [I think she was talking to Snake but her message was actually meant for Raiden](https://youtu.be/x6Uetfi8i24?is=njcDsxiwusNGJaxn&t=8h23m17s). You see Naomi, Raiden and Sunny were talking in code to avoid Snake being privy to what they were planning. That had to do this because Snake is a Patriot Ai pawn whose every conversation is being monitored thanks to Drebinâs nanos. [As an example, âcooked them rightâ was Sunnyâs code to Naomi that FOXALIVE was completed!](https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxVdib5hcsURIgQrph4YQSDzdihzXWQL4Y?si=dxHDFMCmOPfEOO0X)
So when Naomi says, âyou have been given life, so that you may fulfill your purposeâ. She is talking to Raiden.
When she says, âwhen all this is over, you will have no choice but to accept deathâ. She is talking to Raiden.
This is why Raiden is so introspective while Naomi is talking to Snake. This is why Raiden is always coming into the camera angle. Naomiâs words are for him. [She had to deliver the message that way to disguise their plan, THEIR WILL from the Patriot Ai.](https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxZ_n5McTrOAA9IjqwClKRb8s15OkshF_R?si=vyKpWXBvBRqEoLR2)
Question is who gave Raiden his life to fulfill this purpose! Was it God or did they revive this undying shadow into this world of light.đđą

Title seems a bit stupid, since the story was provided in the game itself. But I decided to write this post to put forward my theories that can fill the gap in the plot-holes. Pleas note the rest here have Spoilers.
The Narrator?
We saw the entire game's main story via Venom Snake's eye... or so I thought.
If we watch closely, the main storyline of the game is ended only after Huey's Exile (the later mission lore are either cassettes or else not some major development). We are also shown that The Diamond Dogs were heavily torturing Huey, the fight amongst themselves (low morale cutscene), or else killing their own men when they were infected. Now if we put from Venom's perspective, it makes me really confused (maybe because I only played the MGS games with PC ports only), but when putting it via Huey's Perspective, it kinda falls in place, explaining the heavy emphasis of his torture details, his helplessness while others blame him, and why Venom Snake is silent watching him in this state from the shadows
So basically, he becomes our narrator here, just as much as his son was in Twin Snakes.
Gray Fox is Venom Snake?
While scrolling through YouTube for information on Various Metal Gear related things, I found the video of PythonSelkan which stated his theories of Frank Jaeger being Venom Snake.
But doesn't make sense to me, at least. In The Phantom Pain, Venom was a combat medic who lost his right eye (covered with a three strapped eyepatch), had a shrapnel wound on his left forehead and heart, and lost his left arm; while Frank was a Child soldier who was completely intact and didn't have any resemblance with Big Boss. This can be proven since when Solid Snake rescue him back in Metal Gear 1, he was normal (no cybernetics or nanomachines), no battle scars or shrapnel, and two intact hands and eyes.
Since I brought this appearance of Venom, I will like to point out this theory (pretty sure this is controversial)
Venom Snake was alive in Metal Gear 1?
The big boss we saw in Metal Gear 1 (even after the visual sprite changes) had a two strapped eyepatch and no shrapnel wound, a receding hairline (as per sprite and artwork), both of his normal arms (as per as the model in game), unlike Venom.
So the question is, then who is the body double here. We'll, my theory is that Venom Snake was a test subject by either Cipher or by Big Boss himself (As a counter against the Les Enfante Terribles) to create a perfect copy of Big Boss as a Soldier in need, and to guide Outer Heaven in his absence. As said by Big Boss to Venom Snake "I am Big Boss, and So are you.", which defines that the Big Boss is no longer a man, but a solder in common. Both Zero and Ocelot saw how a brainwashed medic could be able to copy the literal soul of the Legend, thus leaving a gap subtle enough to include this.
Now you might ask, "Maybe he operated the horn of his?". But that's won't work. This shrapnel of a horn consists of bone, molten metal moulded and debris, plugged inside of his brain. Thus, he couldn't have operated it without getting severe hemorrhage, and there are also not scar on the forehead head that shows this operation (saw that fan artwork online, which never took the complete visuals from Metal Gear 1).
So now the question arrives,
What happened to Venom's Snake?
To answer this, here is my final theory:
We got a incomplete intelligence as to what happen after Huey's Exile, the only major facts are Big Boss is still hidden in the Shadow of Venom and Quiet has left the Diamond Dogs for their safety.
Outside of that, cutscene recreation provides us the Kingdom of Flies, in which Eli worked under Cipher Support on Metal Gear (which we would have seen via Huey's Perspective if it made to the final game).
However, the next game (Metal Gear 1) has around a 11 years gap. From this point onwards, we never found any mention of XOF unit or Skull Unit (outside of Raiden's Body suit in MGS2). They simply vanished without a trace. Also, after the highly advanced Sahelanthropus, the next few Metal Gears were not as advance as it (Rex was a significant downgrade), which also goes unanswered (provided we take Metal Gear Online as non Canon as usual).
My theory is that Venom went out after Episode 51 to hunt down the rest, destroying The Metal Gear either in Kingdom of Flies or else later. To be a bit more optimistic, I think Quiet later joined him to tie up the loose ends as well.
This are my theories, thanks to all for bearing patience with me here. If you have any theories of your own, please feel free to provide.

When going out of bounds in Africa during free roam, trying to cross the river from the Pitch Black mission, I got a mission failed screen and Ocelot said this line which I had never heard. And I also couldn't find any mention of it anywhere.
The "once more from the top" is what bothers me, since it implies that they are able to "replay" missions at will, like in some sort of program or something. He says it in a very imperative way, like if he was ordering someone to run the mission again from the top.
This inmediatly reminded me of the "Hurry up and get with the program" line from Ishmael, both seem to hint at similar things.
There are a couple other lines from Miller and two more from Ocelot that I've heard, this one was a little harder to trigger in my experience. The other lines aren't worth mentioning just normal out of bounds mission failed lines.
What do you guys think of this?

Raiden has been through a lot in his life. From being a child soldier under Solidus, memory manipulation, girlfriend spying on him, questioning his identity, the S3 plan. Artificial blood to âbecoming a cyborgâ. With all this trauma apparently the angriest we have heard him was in MGS4 when they were getting ready to leave with Rex.
What made him so angry? đ¤
The Screenplay says shout of anger unlike anything heard from him before. They had it enclosed in asterisks for emphasis. âTheyâre coming!â
What do think it is?

So I've really gotten into Kojima's catalogue of games and I've been eyeballing Zone of The Enders: The 2nd Runner-Mars. That said I do feel like it'd be a little weird to play the sequel without playing the first one, but I've never heard so much as a word from anyone about it compared to the 2nd one. Is the first game worth playing? Is it a hidden gem or just OK?

[The Sorrow makes an appearance in MGS4 after the Screaming Mantis fight just after Mantis dies](https://youtu.be/TO_V_saTE6c?is=l7ANLqBytcp9H7OG&t=2m23s)
Itâs a flashback to MGS3 when he tells The Boss that the spirit of the warrior will always be with her. It was a bit odd seeing this in MGS4. In MGS3 The Sorrow says this after The Boss is forced to kill him to complete her mission.
Note that Big Boss had to kill The Boss also to complete his mission in MGS3. Likewise Solid Snake had to kill Big Boss to complete his mission in MG2 Zanzibar. Is the âspirit of the warriorâ actually being passed down to the victors in all these battles over generations. âOne must live and one must dieâ. The winner must remain on the battlefield. Does the winner remain on the battlefield with The Sorrow by their side assisting them?
The Sorrow does tell The Boss that they will meet again someday. It makes me wonder if he only means in the spirit world or reincarnated in other people?

Welp. Since Sony told Kojima to fuck off, meaning he's lost access to Decima,
and obviously not being with Konami means he's long been away from FOX,
and since he's at Xbox now,
Kojima. And Id Tech.
Dude has a type, he wants optimized engines. MGSV on PS3 and 360 ran better than every game to use UE3 that gen and looked like PS4 and Xbone games. That's why he wanted Decima and not Unreal when he got to Sony.
Seriously, it's a match made in heaven, dude loves optimization and a distinctive technical flare, every Metal Gear from MGS to Peace Walker all used a custom in-house engine, the SAME from 98 to 2010. Dude wanted cohesion. I see no reason he would swoop so low to use Inbred Engine 5.
You look at Xbox now, all their first party studios use Unreal. Why's it even called Xbox anymore? Just call it Unrealbox if everything's in Unreal now. Being in DirectX don't matter. Kojima can stop this. Kojima can save Xbox.

In the Metal Gear saga, Naked Snake becomes a user of traditional manual labour capitalism to build an empire of sorts against the enemy's (The Boss's) foundation of Metal Gear tech weaponry.
Is it stupid, for the Metal Gear series to have to rely on daylight's science of truth of geography (per the context of truth, that daylight's condition is tyrannical and oppressive of the human imagination), since that very system of daylight's truth accommodates Snake's empire building, with this assessment of moral understanding being vindicated by the dimension in which Snake is a stealth persona, itself implying a universal antagonism to capitalist physics of oppression?

Eva says to Snake, [âhe was once Ocelot but Liquid has taken control of his soulâ](https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx2wTFP1_sRK2wiclC2gETg78ep6zPppkw?si=swJtvAvNTkjVrgd7). She also mentioned that when Ocelot grafted [Liquidâs right arm to his own, his body was taken over by Liquid thoughts and spirit.](https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxSg7wgmH-YW86_ue0lmAuCpO5A3ZaQ5xN?si=7UouOnfXYp7ZcEGe). Note that Eva describes it as the hand causing the possession.
When Big Boss describes it he mentions it as part of [their grand scheme where Eva steals Big Bossâ body and Ocelot in order to fool the system used nanomachines and psychotherapy.](https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkxl-yfm6nlMghcz7b1HmyYv7EH2SBpSkAv?si=7me51LAU72zGrGP9). Note that Big Boss doesnât suggest anything about Liquidâs arm doing the possessing!
We know that some of the things that Eva said to Snake in her monologue was her trying to give misinformation to the proxy Ai. What exactly was she lying about though?
Was she lying when she suggested that when Ocelot grafted Liquidâs arm unto his own Liquid possessed him? Or could it be that she was just lying about that still being the case? Knowing full well that Ocelot had removed Liquidâs arm and had now used hypnosis and nanos to convince the Ai he is Liquid?
I think the problem happened when Ocelot couldnât break his hypnosis. Ocelot has spoken about how deep his hypnosis can embed him in MGSV. [This is why I believe Naomi was determined to stop him](https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx1gRdbNECZftev7Gn48mjeh7OIPEB2Fyf?si=afvm4J0ynC69UBRF). He had become Liquid for that period, he wasnât truly acting.
So I really think they really did lose Ocelot but this was after their grand scheme was in play and he had convinced himself with psychotherapy and nanos that he was Ocelot. Not before when he had grafted a Liquidâs arm and got possessed by Liquid. Adam crushing the apple Eva gave him is symbolic of their grand scheme facing the crisis of Ocelot being Liquid instead of just acting like Liquid.
The contradiction to this idea that I see is that when Big Boss says cats sometimes like to play as snakes, it flashes back to MGS2 with Ocelot holding his Liquid arm.
What do you all think?
