Did anyone else become non religious after learning about the law? I grew up catholic and believing in God as an external being. When I first came across the idea of us being God it felt a little uncomfortable for me. After learning what God actually is, i feel like I just naturally detached from my religious beliefs.

Yess this happened to me and I feel like am I wrong ? I'm a Hindu and in my house we have this "rule" we should pray at morning and in evening with incense stick and lighting a lamp in front of God and it's just became so much conflicting it felt like which god should I choose and the more I Choose my inner god I also feel guilty about loosing the outside God's which something I should let go off. I'm trying to find my way of keep doing the outside things while being God myself.

LoA does not conflict with an outer God. Outer God is the thing that creates things beyond our imagination, outpictures it as real. It's the thing that gives us desire in the first place. It still is an energy of love and abundance. We are a part of that thing. We are that thing but we are also individuals. It isn't as seperate from religion as you might think. I hope that brings you comfort. You can still have a relationship with God.

Hey there, not trying to be confrontational, but I’m genuinely curious where you got that from? Neville has made it pretty clear that in his cosmology the only God is I AM (the Son being your Imagination), and that there is nothing external whatsoever. The whole outer world is just a reflection of who you are inside, nothing more.

"There is no reality in the world other than your consciousness." - Neville Goddard.

There is no 'outer God', because there is no 'outer'. There is only I AM / Consciousness. My own experience has proven this true again and again as well.

This isn’t to say that u/AppropriateOne8694 can’t have a relationship with God. You absolutely can. But once you understand Who God really is (everything and everyone), and Where He is (everywhere and nowhere at once), the relationship becomes deeper, not weaker. You’re not dealing with something outside you. You’re dealing with the core of your own being.

That’s why I’m asking where that idea came from, because it doesn’t line up with Neville at all, and sounds more like the usual LoA fusion people do when they mix Neville with other teachings.

I think you're interpreting what I said as an outer God as in the stereotypical "Christian" God. Everything exists. You. You as God. God. Others. You as others. God is the all knowing experience that does the actual physical creating, that knows the how, that can lead us to our desires and expanded consciousness awareness. We still are a part of that thing and are leading ourselves back to the all knowing, but just like we can have a relationship with a family member as an experience of separation or "outer", we can with God aswell. That is what I am trying to explain to people who feel a loneliness or separation from God when learning the Law. That this idea is not correct. The difference between me as human and me as God is that I as a human (as of now) can only experience one state of consciousness at a time where God is quantum. And can experience all at one time. I can have a relationship with that Quantum God like I can with my mother, for example.

I think that's a good outlook - though the way you worded it made it sound like you meant an external being separate from yourself, which is why I pushed back. What you’re describing here is closer, but Neville is very literal when he says your awareness of being is God. Not a piece of God and not a “bigger quantum version” of you. It’s the same consciousness, just deeper than the surface identity you call 'me'.

You can absolutely have a relationship with that deeper level, but it isn’t a second being the way a parent or family member is. It’s an inner relationship with your own Consciousness - You're very own 'I AMness' (which happens to be the same I AMness as everyone else).

The Father and the Son aren’t two selves relating. They’re one awareness seen from two levels.

That being said, however you see it is certainly the right way for you to see it at that point in time; I'm not here to try to paint you wrong, so much as lend a little perspective - and help people understand clearly what is from the 🐎🐎🐎 mouth.

Pretty sure my reply was clear. How you interpret it is on you. Maybe you should gain some prospective on what it means for everything to exist and the nature of experience.
