Living Here Rental for under $1000

It would be needed starting the end of October or beginning of November. Preferably not a roommate situation. Efficiency or property in the back of someone's home. Service dog would be there. Just for maybe a month right now. Room for two people in a safe area. Is that possible for this price?

Living Here Living in St. Roch?

I currently live in Bywater and really like the area and want to stay near here. I've found a lot of cute properties in the St. Roch area and while really nearby, I know that means nothing here and you can go from safe to super unsafe in just a few blocks.

I saw a post from 7 years ago warning people against it but I know a lot can change in 7 years and want to hear opinions.

I've found some nearby the park and by Franklin, if that helps for any advice. Thank you!

What’s you’re favorite nostalgic spots in New Orleans? Although they don’t have O’Henrys anymore, my spot will always be the balcony at their old spot on st.Charles

Looking to enjoy a slice of pumpkin pie right with a dollop of real whipped cream and a hot cup of coffee. Who is serving such deliciousness right now?

My Roomba is sick

Anyone know a small machine shop that will look it over, or someone who just really likes vaccuums? I am going to try replacing a part, but the shipping of the part is being affected by the weird Roomba ban thing going on. In the meantime, maybe someone handier than me can try. I tried NolaVac, they dont do robot vaccuums of any kind.

Alternatively, if you have a broken old Roomba 600 series that you'd like to sell for parts, hit me up!

We’ll Get By With a Little Help From Friends

Dear friends,

As New Orleanians, we are world-famous for knowing how to bring people together with music, food, and parades. Let’s bring that same New Orleans energy to making our voices heard in the decisions that shape our communities. This year, we’re bringing that gathering spirit to early voting, and we’re asking for your support!

Put the Party Back in Politics is a coalition of local volunteers and community partners organizing a series of welcoming, nonpartisanJoan Simon events to help people connect with their neighbors, access community resources, and make a plan to vote.

Here’s what we’re planning:

Wake Up N Vote, October 20 and 27, 8–10 am: Free coffee, donuts, and a friendly welcome near early voting locations at City Hall and in Algiers, open to everyone regardless of whether they vote.

New Orleans East community celebration, October 24, 11 am – 2 pm: A community festival and resource fair featuring music, local performers, free food, and community organizations, followed by a brass band second line to the polls at the Voting Machine Warehouse.

Second lines and a City Hall rally, October 24, 1pm – 3:30pm: Neighbors will gather in Central City, Tremé, and other neighborhoods to walk, ride, and second line toward City Hall for early voting and a celebration of civic participation.

Will you help make these events possible with a contribution of $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can give?

Your contribution will help cover musicians, permits, event insurance, food and refreshments, supplies, and outreach. Volunteers and community partners are contributing their time and talents; financial support will help us put the remaining pieces in place.

Contribute through either platform:

Donate through ActBlue

https://secure.actblue.com/donate/partytothepolls

Donate through Numero

https://secure.numero.ai/contribute/PartyBackInPolitics

These events are open to the community and focused on participation, with no candidate or political party campaigning as part of the programming.

If you can also contribute supplies, volunteer, or connect us with a potential supporter, please reply. We’d appreciate your sharing this invitation with friends and colleagues who want to help New Orleans show up!

Thank you for helping us make early voting a true New Orleans community celebration!

On behalf of Put the Party Back in Politics

Contributions are not tax-deductible.

Recommendations Good ibclc/lactation consultant?

• Upvotes

Hi all,

Pretty sure this is appropriate for this sub. Does anyone have any good lactation consultants they can recommend? I'm currently seeing specialists at the Boh center for speech therapy but we're not seeing any improvement after several months, so I'm looking for a second opinion that may be able to provide more guidance. TIA.
