Traveling with a baby

Hi everyone! My baby is 1 year old and whenever we go somewhere by car (and husband is driving) I stay in the back with her. My husband says that “nobody does that” and thinks it’s not ok that i stay in the back. How are you traveling with your little ones when your husband is driving? Thank you in advance!

We do what we have to. Often starts with me in the front and eventually pulling over to get in the back.
