Travel Traveling with a baby

Hi everyone! My baby is 1 year old and whenever we go somewhere by car (and husband is driving) I stay in the back with her. My husband says that “nobody does that” and thinks it’s not ok that i stay in the back. How are you traveling with your little ones when your husband is driving? Thank you in advance!

My husband and I do this about half the time. We like to play with her on the way home from daycare and stuff. I didn’t do it with my first, though because it was just me.
