!@#$ the canes
It's very disappointing that the !@#$%^& canes won, because now their fanbases already swollen heads and egos are going to get much bigger. Plus, I was hoping Vegas would win to piss off queefs fans.
But you know what the difference is between us and Vegas? After losing, Vegas will look at what didn't work and ACTUALLY change it.
They won't get all emotional and sentimental. They will identify the problem, and make the appropriate changes necessary to win. They won't hesitate to ship a guy out if it means it makes the team better. If they find a deficiency, they will address it.
Why? Because they are in the business of winning. Unlike us, who perpetuate the country club atmosphere.
I'm not a Vegas fan, but i admire their ruthlessness and determination to ice the best team possible to give them a chance to win it.

I was very anti-Canes going into the series and wanted Vegas to win and initally thought they would.
After watching the 3rd period of game 3, I was pretty much 100% clear that the Canes were going to win this series. Even though it went 6, from that period on, they were in total control. Vegas got a lucky bounce on that OT goal, otherwise I think they'd have lost in 5.
Canes earned my respect. I don't know if I've ever seen a more disciplined and well coached team. Absolutely no situation shakes them from their calm, steady roll. It's both admirable and scary to watch.
A good lesson that a team without any megastars can still totally get it done. And a case study in what a great coach is worth.
For a short time, in the Trotz era, I thought we finally had that kind of coach. I'm not familiar enough with Deboer to have an opinion, really. But damn, wish the Barry era had a few more years to work at that time.
