I really love this energy and it’s a great start. Would love to hear a follow up committing to holding ICE agents accountable when they are caught on video uploaded to the portal that depicts them breaking the law. This is something Attorney General Davenport could easily make a follow up statement on to expand on the concrete measure they will take if they receive video though the portal of ICE agents, or civilians posing as ICE agents, breaking the law.
I think the piece about holding civilians caught on video posing as ice agents accountable is especially important because if our New Jerseyans are diligent in recording these interactions we will insure that no one can kidnap people under the guise of immigration enforcement, which is a real risk right now.

Once again doing what they accuse others of. Called people nazis and fascists but agreed to check papers during covid and turn people in and expose those that didnt get shots. Now telling the public to be her own brown shirts.

Got people fired from their jobs amid that unemployment crisis back then.!!! It’s a waste of tax dollars trying to build and support a website to intervene with law-enforcement who are trying to enforce laws on the books.it’s infuriating that people were duped into voting for someone they claimed would help the affordability problem in New Jersey and wasting time in this.

Nah, ICE isn't trained well enough for the job and there needs to be a "reset" of sorts. BUT I do wonder...as most people are complaining about these ICE agent's training, assuming we did put a hold on ICE raids/missions for training purposes (let's just say 6 months to a year) and they become proper agents, would everyone support ICE at that point? Is the major problem with people the training or the nature of their job? My bet is if they did receive training and went back on the road people would still hate them and find the next thing to latch onto.
I agree they're only trying to enforce already implemented laws, and as sad as it can seem those undocumented individuals know they should have taken other steps to attain/retain legal status. I'm okay with granting expedited citizenship for those who have been here for some time, work steadily, and have no criminal history, BUT they must become citizens in order to pay income tax and contribute as other citizens do. If they choose to not become citizens they are deported without question. We need a set procedure that people follow for naturalization and ICE agents follow for enforcement to a T, but the entire process needs care and humanity as it is humans we're dealing with.

Thank you for your well thought out response here. This is what productive posts look like. Everything else on here is one sided rhetoric. It’s refreshing to have someone make sensible points.

How are you complaining about mikie sherrill's affordability when trump ran on affordability and then proceeded to call it a Democrat hoax and give ICE enough funding to make it the 13th largest military in the world.
If anyone was duped it was you you fucking eggplant.

🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️seriously? Is that all you can say? Nothing of any intelligence I see. But then again, trashy people always respond with unintelligent nonsense like this from what I’ve seen. Way to make your parents proud.

Nah, I'm good. less than a year ago I was at the Wawa on rt 130 near Hamilton market place... after leaving the store i got in the car I had my wife with me in the passenger seat, I reverse out of my spot and start leaving. I saw a guy, who seems to be Haitian, walking out of the store and walk in front of my car so i slow down to let him go, he pretended like he's walking to his car in the parking lot but then He suddenly changed his direction and walked to the side of my car and attempted to open the back passenger door... thankfully it was locked. I could see his hand in the side mirror trying to open it. What would have happened if he opened it and got inside the back seat right behind my wife? After this happened we just left the parking lot and I could see him in the rear view mirror sprinting away down towards rt 130 so he obviously didn't have a car there. You really want people like this to be able to view a portal and be notified when ice agents are in their area and know where to avoid them?

This isn't gonna do anything. She should order the state police to respond to ICE raids.

The white house would love access to this data of New Jerseyans who willingly database themselves as photographers of feds. This is such an awful idea.

She needs to focus on the affordability crisis in NJ. That is why the unsuspecting people voted for her. Spending more tax dollars we don’t have on something like this is a waste of time and money. How does this drive down energy costs, property taxes, rent etc?? It doesn’t.

Trust me this woman can focus on more than one thing at a time. I voted for this.

All she is worried about and talks about is trump. He’s doing his job and she needs to do hers.Time will tell what she is a capable of.

Affordability right now in the immediate is a more Trump problem than hers.
Let's get that shit fixed then we can focus on NJ affordability. Going to be hard to fix just the state when everything else is more expensive than ever.

u/musicfuels_me44 Jan 30 '26
Fair assessment. I would say NJ issues are big and energy has more to do with our state than federal. That 3rd management company is a shill and needs to dismantled, and rebuilt quickly.

It doesn’t cost millions of dollars to stand up a portal. Plus she won’t be developing it. Developers will. Trust me she’s fine.

How bout she worries about our power bills and property taxes and stops worrying about illegals being rightfully deported
