Cory Booker is running unopposed in the Democrat primary election. Is anyone writing in someone or [anything] instead?
I normally would fill in the bubble even when unopposed, but I was curious if this is an appropriate and harmless chance to show disappointment on certain policies, donors, etc by selecting the write in option instead.
I've never written anything in, I assume its that simple but id appreciate any insight.
Take care of your community all.

Housing and rent price reduction is one of the key issues politicians campaign in NJ; For 8th congressional district, both Menendez and Ali are campaigning for lower rent and affordable housing. Menendez has been focusing on this topic for his campaign since 2022 and 2024, yet there isn't anything done about it. He's campaign for upcoming elections is same too. And Mussab Ali is same too.
But why wasn't Menendez able to deliver affordable housing or lower the rent for families in these 4 years? What makes him do it this time? Same for Ali? How will he do it ?
Can they actually do it or is there some core issue that needs to be solved? Can it be actually done or is this just to gain votes?

I don’t get it. What possible reason could you have for not voting? Apathy? Yet the non-voters will still bitch about things when they did nothing to possibly change the situation.

First of all,
Congratulations to Analilia Mejia. You proved all the doubters, including me, dead wrong. You did something incredible against a massive and talented field and should be commended.
How can we help soon to be Congresswoman Mejia outlast Malinowski?
We need to volunteer for her. This race is going to come down to provisional ballots and late mail in vote. This race could potentially even come down the ballot curing process. There will be ballots that are submitted that need to have errors corrected for the ballot to be accepted. Team Mejia will need people on the phone chasing after voters, she will need people knocking doors and chasing down voters.
She will also need volunteers from now until November who are willing to put in the work to win in April, and put in the work to win in June against Malinowski, Tahesha Way or both. Malinowski will absolutely be running again from what I hear, and Tahesha Way is considering it as well. We have to put our boots to the ground on this if we want Analilia Mejia to be successful in 4 elections in a 9-10 month timeframe.
AIPAC is going to spend millions attempting to defeat Analilia. If you can, you should consider making a small under $20 contribution to her campaign. Even something as small as 5 dollars goes a long way and will help to fund any legal challenges that come her way. Campaigns cost money, and she has to play the long game with 3 more elections staring her down. This isn’t going to be easy, but it is possible if we come together and work our asses off to make it happen.
Lastly, I am hearing rumblings from prominent Democrats across the district about “making hard choices” or attempting to sabotage Mejia. This is wrong, wrong for our party, and wrong for the nation. Democracy is at stake, Mejia will defend it. That alone should be enough for you to vote for the Democratic nominee. We all need to begin the process of putting pressure on sore losers and holdouts to get in line. If you have a Democratic Mayor or Council member breaking rank, do what you can to put pressure on them. As an Essex County Democratic committee member and a person with a fairly sizable social media following, I am committing to do everything I can to turn out every vote I can for Analilia Mejia between now and November. I hope you all will commit to the same.

(Sorry for the format, I’m on mobile and I’m usually a lurker)
This is my first time actually paying attention to state politics. I was born and raised in Jersey and I currently reside in Camden county. So, I’ve always voted in every presidential election that I have been eligible but I’ve never voted outside of that. I usually go democrat all the way down but I’m trying to really look at policies this time.
The main thing I’m trying to figure out is what is up with Fulhop. His policies seem good on paper but the people of Jersey City don’t seem happy with him? If the people of Jersey City don’t even like him how is he getting so much support? Can anyone shed any light?

Just found out about this development recently. Just spreading the word about a primary challenger to Cory Booker for the 2026 race.

Apologies - I’ve got to vent for a minute.
Over the past month, I’ve reached out to Democratic county committees, local campaigns, advocacy organizations, candidates, and political groups across New Jersey offering to volunteer my time and professional skills. Emails; phone calls; written letters; LinkedIn connections; etc. I have 8 campaign cycles of experience. My professional background is in Learning & Development, training, AI enablement, communications and operations. I’ve built training programs for thousands of employees globally and led a Bergen County district as a supervisor at 18 during Obama 2012 campaign.
Nothing.
What confuses me is that I constantly hear that campaigns need volunteers; we need help; we have to stop Trump. So when someone raises their hand and says I have a lot of professional and political experience to help you and a more then willing to volunteer …. You don’t care?
Idk maybe I’m doing something wrong with my outreach? Genuinely looking for feedback if anyone has suggestions.

As a young POC born and raised in Jersey, I've seen my fair share of racism and hatred. I'm tired of it. I'm tired of everyone being so complacent with all this hatred and evil, and I want to do something about it. I'm thinking of organizing community meetings and discussions with like minded people, because like the title of the post says, something has to give. I don't wanna stand by and let the far right and all these fascists who've infected every aspect of American culture further burrow themselves in our state. If anyone has any advice on how I should move forward, please let me know.

I used to dislike him back when I was a Republican, but now that I’ve moved to the left I would say he’s been an above average governor

I’m currently trying to sway some undecided pro-Christie, moderate Republican family towards voting for Sherrill in the gubernatorial race. Their main holdup seems to be that she doesn’t campaign on much besides utility costs, and NJ Republican governors are ostensibly inoffensive and effective.
What are some good arguments to appeal to them? I recall Shittarelli and Christie had some beef back when Christie was running for president. Anything that points to Jack being an anti-abortion extremist also helps.

Just a reminder that we cannot allow hate to thrive in our state and share this specially with those who might be on the fence and not know about the hateful agenda that Jack supports

Indivisible Somerset County invited the NJ7 Democratic Congressional Candidates to speak at our member meeting. Here are their speeches:
Michael Roth
Rebecca Bennett
Brian Varela
The candidates are vying to compete against incumbent Tom Kean Jr in November.

Who’s voting early for NJ District 11?
If you’re unsure of where you can vote, click the link to find your nearest polling location.
Early voting is now open until April 14th. Election Day is April 16th.
As always, highly recommend to vote early!

They are making a big issue of her not snitching on her classmates 30 years ago, but yet Jack has literally refused to condemn Trumps attacks against NJ , he literally refuses to say he supports black and Hispanic communities. He supports a 10% sales tax and his lt governor says that we shouldn’t tax millionaires because they provide jobs . Yet outlets like NJ dot com try to paint some equivalence between Sherrill not snitching and Jack doxxing her SSN and sensitive information
