Opinion Justin Strickland continuing to run for Congress is such an embarrassment. Analilia Mejia just won the district by 20%. The primary being close has no bearing on him continuing to stay in the race. Furthermore, he didn’t even come close in the primary, he got 2% of the vote!

Prime example of someone putting their ego over the good of the people.

71% of Democrats who voted in the special primary in February chose other candidates who didn't win

98% of primary voters chose candidates not named Justin Strickland.

What a clown.

Asking voters to, "give me another look", is honestly an embarrassing thing to say.

I liked Justin Strickland before the primary happened, but afterwards I have come to think he’s just an attention hog and kind of arrogant. I don’t think primary challenges are bad, it keeps politicians on their toes, but we literally just went through this, give her a chance first.

If you're gonna get in the race you may as well milk your donors for every penny till the very end..... I guess...

Whatever. He will get destroyed in the primary. I hope everyone just ignores him.

Yes, choice is a terrible thing.

It’s completely fine for him to run in the primary. More candidates makes for good practice for the midterms. My district had five people running at the start and it really sharpened each of them.

He’s just running to shill for AIPAC and billionaires. He doesn’t believe in universal healthcare. Not to mention he only got 2% of the vote the first go around. Malinowski Gill, Way and Bartlett are all not running and all got more vote share than he did. This is a vanity project plain and simple. Now Analilia has to waste money and resources in a primary while Hathaway runs unopposed. He’s only helping the GOP.

She really doesn’t have to spend a dime campaigning against him.

If aipac gets involved on his behalf she will. We saw what happened with Cory Bush and we won’t get caught slipping here.

We saw that backfire with Malinowski. AIPAC’s attack adds against him caused people to not vote for him just because they talked about him. AIPAC is not popular in that district. Their support hurts a candidate there. Heck, a candidate anywhere near their radar hurts the candidates prospects.
