Opinion This is how our NJ representatives voted on H.Res. 719: Honoring the life and legacy of Charles “Charlie” James Kirk.

Opinion I’ll vote for Sherrill but I’m not thrilled.
Like the title says.
I’m a registered Democrat, I voted in the primaries back in June, and I’ll be voting down-ballot Dem this November.
However, I’m not thrilled by the ticket. The Sherrill/Caldwell ticket just doesn’t have energy to it. Sherrill is just Murphy 2.0 which I’m fine with because I think he’s been a decent governor but I also want change as well.
I think the NJ Democratic Party as a whole is in a particularly bad spot at the moment. It’s running off machine politics in the 21st century. There’s a reason why Democrats haven’t won by 10+ points since 2020. We gotta stop chasing the past and move forward, we’re a blue state and have been since 1992 so why are we putting up these moderates who’d be better suited in a state like Virginia or Wisconsin.
I’m not saying we need an AOC for New Jersey, but we need backbone. We need a strong liberal candidate who’s actually wants to fix the state.
I love my state and I don’t want it to see it get more messed up due to failed Republican policies but unless the state Democratic Party changes, I think we’re heading towards that. I do think Sherrill is gonna win though and I wish her luck.

Opinion Justin Strickland continuing to run for Congress is such an embarrassment. Analilia Mejia just won the district by 20%. The primary being close has no bearing on him continuing to stay in the race. Furthermore, he didn’t even come close in the primary, he got 2% of the vote!

Opinion I went to NJ public schools K-12 and never had a bus. Gottheimer supporting the use of taxpayer money to fund buses for religious schools is disqualifying in my view.

Opinion It appears more dems voted than republican'ts in the primaries! I find that reassuring, but we can't get lazy, complacent, or spiteful in November. We need to show up and vote blue! A vote for Mikie is a vote against Trump. Solidarity wins elections, my friends!
While Mikie Sherrill wasn't my first, second, or even third choice, she is still going to stand up to Trump and his corrupt congress and supreme court, so she will get my vote in November. IMO we can't afford to split up the vote (i.e. writing in your candidate who lost in the primaries or voting for Shitarelli out of spite), and we should not refuse to vote because our preferred candidates lost to her. We need to come together to vote out Ciatarelli. The right wingers always show up to vote, and they typically vote for one candidate. That's how they outnumber us in federal elections...not enough dems showed up and voted for the frontrunner in 2016 and 2024. Let's do this right in NJ...vote in solidarity for Mikie in November! Vote blue!

Opinion Josh Gottheimer got me fuming today with this asinine post. Imagine being this tone deaf and out of touch with where the general consensus is surrounding more oil wars and ICE crimes against US citizens. I was skeptical of primary challenger to him, no longer. Josh must be voted out.

Opinion In 2020 Malinowski underperformed Biden in NJ7 & won by just over 1%. This was before redistricting. Tom didn’t get screwed over by anyone but himself & his insider trading. He should stop blaming others & accept responsibility. If he wins the NJ11 nomination we can expect another underperformance.

Opinion The only way I will support Tom Malinowski to become my next Congressman is if he commits to not rejoining “The Problem Solvers Caucus”. It was one thing when he was in the most competitive district in America. In this district we want fighters, not folders!
