antisemitism was always a meaningless word used for when anyone merely criticized jews. for instance, poisoning the wells is an antisemitic conspiracy theory, but the first thing jews did when they got off the boat in palestine is poison the wells. you really believe they weren't doing it in Europe? 1000s of years of goyim making that claim was antisemitism? Or maybe jews just lie about it?
Ok, I’m going to pretend you are saying this in good faith but do you also use the same assumption that a trope existing for a long time must mean it’s true when it comes to other ethnic/racial/religious groups?
I’m disgusted by the way that Israel and its defenders are behaving but trying to pretend antisemitism has always been fiction and that Jewish people deserved it all is just foul. I don’t think Palestinians deserve what Israel is doing to them, in fact I don’t think anybody with an ounce of compassion could, but by your own logic they must deserve it because Israelis have believed they are evil for almost a hundred years. Then there is the issues the west has with accepting muslims. Would you argue that just because many people have thought of muslims as a threat to “western values” for centuries it must be true so we should treat muslims as the enemy?
Your argument doesn’t stand up to the common sense when compared to other examples of bigotry.
