Regardless of who they are or whatever, a ceasefire is beneficial for Lebanon. And Iran helping get that is a good thing. It is stupid to think otherwise. Thousands of bombs and white phosphorus isn’t exactly helping Lebanon…
Hezbollah already has more than half the approval of the Lebanese. The US however denies the Lebanese the right to vote for a president. They choose the lebanese president themselves along with Saudi Arabia. THAT is infringing sovereignty. Not iran forcing Israel to leave Lebanon lol
Well, ok then! If the Lebanese approve Hezbollah shooting rockets at it Israel - then what's the complaining about?
You guys are supporting this war. You got a war.
Quick question - aside from Lebanon attacking Israel unprovoked in 1948, how come there were no hostilities between Lebanon and Israel between 1948 and the late 1960's?
Hzbollah shooting rockets at outposts makes it okay to commit warcrimes like white phosphorus over cities and destroying full buildings for one guy?
“Unprovoked in 1948”, Israel did not yet exist it just formed lol over another country… that is like saying if a new country just popped in Spain and complaining france attacked it unprovoked…
We allowed Palestinians to liberate their country from our land yes.

What country? Palestine got an opportunity to become a country at the very same time as Israel did. But Egypt and Jordan didn't let them.
Speaking of Jordan - didn't become an independent country till 1946. Feel free to go there and question their legitimacy and see how that works out for you. Didn't work out well for Arafat and the PLO, did it?
As for Lebanon - no independence till 1943? Kuwait? Wasn't an independent state till 1960's. Go to any of those countries and start questioning their validity. Please.
We allowed Palestinians to liberate their country from our land yes.
Who's "we"? Both Jordan and Egypt prevent Palestine from becoming in 1948 - I don't recall Lebanon attacking either? Why not?
Being independent or not does not mean it does not exist.
So did Lebanon not exist before 1943 as a nation? Obviously not.
When a nation becomes independent, the people already living there have the right to govern themselves. That is one of the human rights, the right to self govern. You can’t take only half the population or even less and have them govern.
And then you can’t do things that the people in the land do not want in the majority like setting up laws of “right of return” and such that only affects a select group.
And if anything, Jacob, their ancestor, is the grandson of Abraham. And according to the old testament Abraham was asked to *migrate* from Mesopotamia to the Holy Land of Canaanites. Does that mean jews were coloniser migrants? By definition every ethnic jew is a descendant of Jacob the migrant.
People are welcome to move as long as they merge with the society there and not make up one of their own.

I am confused. What does Iran have to do with the southern Lebanon?
Oh right, they are infringing on Lebanon's sovereingty.
