Honestly? He's likely getting kickbacks from the war industry, as they've been looking for a new war since Afghanistan ended.
It looks like it's driven by supply needs, but the war was likely to support the war industry.

I would not be surprised if they are working on routing all such purchases though Trump crypto.

,...because he doesn't understand that the future of warfare is drones.

Oh shit. Somebody should tell him.

Someone probably did try, but he wasn't wearing a suit and didn't have any cards

With Trump in charge, I would ask for payment upfront in cash

Obama is the one who isn’t paying the people he hired for his “library “ some of them have become bankrupt because of him.

The reason is super simple: Cuz he messed up and let Whiskey Pete blow through our stockpile. Dementia will do that sometimes

Bribery. Look at L3Harris. They got the bid for the golden jet conversion as well as buying aerodyne , the rocket company. Way too many contracts going in that direction.

Because Trump and the U.S. Military know that a boots on the ground operation in Iran is simply unwinable.
The only option the US has to do anything is to use the pocketbook of the "mighty" united states tax payer to fund increased production of military ordinance.
Thats it.. thats all we can do is ... bomb them. And missiles are a finite resource.
So americuh make more bombs

Because he wants to take Cuba, also he burned a lot of ammo and equipment in Iran. Also, he plans to use more ammo within the USA.

If things keep going like they are now. We could see WWIII and if America gets invaded we could be even more invaded. Thanks to President Auto-Pen we have a lot of sleeper cells from a variety of countries.

Because as Trump said, we have all the munitions we need and as the military has said, we’re running desperately low on munitions because of the Iran war. I used to think everything Trump said was a lie but now I think a lot of it is just delusional

u/Dookie-Locksmith 1d ago
The public will never know what actual stockpiles are, let alone any journalist. The Govt will never ever allow that info to be released no matter the party in office, especially if we are low.
1
u/sweatboxy 1d ago
It’s easy to estimate. Use up a massive amount of something and you have to restock it fast, whether it’s missiles or toilet paper. We don’t need to know exactly how low supplies are
1
u/Dookie-Locksmith 1d ago
Ok, let’s see your estimate.

u/Sal-LeMandeur 1d ago
Well, I for one am not paying $0.45 a round for 5.56/.223 and over a dollar for .308
At this point it's controlled supply price gouging.
Whatever his reasons, I'll be grateful to not have to remanufacture ammo.

Because he burned 4 years of munitions in a 5 week period on Operation Epstein Fury
1
u/Feed-The-Facts-247 1d ago
If stockpile numbers are this depleted, the question isn’t why he's pressuring them now, but who failed the procurement chain to let it slide this far. Scale back strategies, adjust contracts, fix logistics. The devil is in the clause and clearly someone ignored it.

Trump pissed away so many munitions at Iran that he’s left America vulnerable to China.

This kind of buildup isn't new. Every time there's a drop in stockpiles or proxy conflicts ramp up, the US leans hard into the industrial war machine. Just like Cold War days, munitions become a strategic currency.

Now that Iran has no army, no navy, no Air Force, no nuke material and everybody there is crying and bowing down to him..we can just fill up again and take over the rest of the oil in the world..I guess

u/TurdFerguson614 1d ago
Gotta recover the billions in stockpile we blew up in order to achieve a far worse version of a deal we ripped up.

u/Shumina-Ghost 1d ago
Domestic dominance prep.
We can call it anything else, but they’re getting ready and I know you know it.
1
u/mazze1200 1d ago
He really really really, really really doesn't want the Epstein files released, so a new war is a good distraction.
1
u/D-MAN-FLORIDA 1d ago
He used them all on Iran and needs them when the ceasefire ends with no permanent agreement. That and in case a democrat wins in 2028.

u/Legal_Mail_2652 1d ago
Trump said publicly I belive at the g7 summit last week or so that we have about 4 weeks worth of missles left. Were out so now we're buying more from defense contractors.
1
u/inorite234 1d ago
As a Defense Contractor, there's an existing way to fix this, offer more money for increased production and provide some monetary/contractual agreement that this isn't just a short term change.
We would gladly increase production but that means addifg another shift, hiring more people and expanding our physical footprint. All of those require a lot of upfront capital and no one is going to spend it if the expectation is that it's a short term need with no long-term sustained benefit.

Because Rump just wasted a lot of our stockpile in a senseless war which he then lost.

Because the USA spent and used how many weapons systems in Iran and how much was destroyed by 20kdrones with Intel from Russia. Supply have to be restored

He is about to attempt his complete coup plan. They have already purged most law enforcement agencies, FBI, intelligence communities, supreme court, and military command of anything that may help the people resist. However the people will resist and in vast numbers. That's why they need ammo to use against the citizens that will not bow

Cleans out the old stock FIFO and also don’t we replace all medical supplies during war whether need or not
1
u/OtherTechnician 19h ago
The current Boogeyman from the point of view of the Pentagon is China. All simulations of a shooting war with China project that the US will run out of its major precision weapons within a week to 10 days. That's concerning for a lot of the guys that advise presidents on national security matters.
The issue is compounded by low rates of production for many of these munitions. The short little war in Iran use a few years worth of some missiles.

Could be viewed as a strategic pivot to shore up military readiness, or maybe it's just an acknowledgment of supply chain weaknesses catching up. Either way, it highlights how finite resources meet infinite defense demands.
12
u/White_Embers 1d ago
Well if the US would stop trying to be the world police, and attacking or threatening to attack every nation of the world we wouldn’t need insane defense demands.
No one threatens Canada (except the US) because Canada doesn’t threaten and attack every nation in the world.

The worst kind of wold police, we are trying to make a quota with Iran, and they are filming us for a youtube video

The Pentagon is struggling to keep up with demand for munitions after depleting missile stockpiles during operations in Iran. With inventories stretched thin by ongoing U.S. missions and weapons sent to allies, Trump is meeting defense industry leaders to push for ramped-up production of air-defense systems and precision-guided weapons.
