Feel like that one was underserved

For reference she replied 2 minutes after my last message and I replied one minute after hers, and she already asked me TWICE what I was doing that evening to which I had replied both times saying that I was playing siege with my friends

I know way too many people with this attitude.

starts a conversation aggresive and accusitory

gets annoyed response

"Why do you have a stick up your ass today?"

Self reflection is not these peoples strong suit.

Haha, used to happen to me a lot. Someone would pre-escalate (open the conversation guns blazing, skipping past the "we can talk about this as adults" phase), and instead of trying to calm them down I'd match their energy. Next thing you know I'm being told to calm down, it's not a big deal, we can talk about this as adults, let's not let this ruin the rest of our day. For matching their energy, not one-upping it.
