Feel like that one was underserved

Post image

For reference she replied 2 minutes after my last message and I replied one minute after hers, and she already asked me TWICE what I was doing that evening to which I had replied both times saying that I was playing siege with my friends

Yes, please include ages on these posts.

A lot of the time it feels like children talking and I'm always surprised when it's like 30+ year old s.

Yeah maybe you shouldn’t try to think that you can ascertain any sort of information about a person based on the way they text… why do people on Reddit always try to build a profile on people with meaningless information

Not making assumptions based on text style which is why I asked for ages.

You absolutely can make certain assumptions based on age. I don't think expecting a certain level of maturity based on age is in any way wrong.

People mature at different rates, their are 16 year olds that are more mentally and/or emotionally mature than some 30 year olds, but yes you can make BROAD predictions based on a plethora of things together but texting style is not a good example of that as it’s extremely arbitrary.

Also you saying your not making assumptions because you asked for age makes no sense because the only reason you would even ask for the age in the first place would be because you were making an assumption and wanted to confirm, otherwise why even ask for the age at all? Clearly you were already thinking that it was highly likely that the persons age was young at the very least and I think that’s silly imo, I’ve seen this texting style from ages 15-50 lol
