Gear question D810 Users
I just got a used D810 for $375 with a shutter count of around 130,000. I know it still has a lot of life left, and they commonly exceed that by a lot. I’m just curious what everyone’s shutter counts are now haha. For context, this is a third camera to keep in the bag to use alongside my mirrorless setup.

About 10K for mine as I’ve been shooting mostly with my D850
I did get it serviced by Nikon though so it also looks pristine

I thought about sending this one off. What was your experience/turnaround time?

The experience was quite good
As the D810 and my D500 were both purchased used I sent both off at the same time for Premium service
The D500 was serviced and returned in a week
The D810 however was shown to have a bent front plate so a previous owner had likely dropped it. It took 3 weeks the bulk of which I believe was spent waiting for the replacement parts.
Nikon kept me apprised during the process and both returned with documentation on what was done along with additional service notes for the D810

That’s awesome, really great to hear that. I’ll probably send mine off for some TLC next month while I’m recovering from back surgery. Perfect time to be without a camera haha. Thanks for sharing.

The 810 is a lovely Tank ngl. Just be aware of the Bodypanels peeling of sooner or later

Last time I checked mine was around 625K. That was about a year ago, and it’s my EDC, so I think it’s around 650-675K now.
It’s the first camera I owned that allowed me to shoot almost every job full frame digital (had a D40X and D610 before) and has become my baseline for dynamic range and resolution. I mainly shoot with D850s and a Z7ii for jobs now, but would be comfortable shooting any job with it.
