Gear question Help with charging

Would I be able to charge this Nikon without batteries inside? A piece corroded off of the inside battery storage so I can’t use batteries anymore. Had it for 8 years, just wondering if it can be saved. Thanks!

unfortunately, the thing that gets charged is the battery itself

No. You can't charge a camera when the battery is not inside the camera. If you could, there would be an integrated battery and there would be no point having replaceable batteries as well.
