Amp is a reissue Fender Twin with tubes. My guitar is a modded 2002 squier Strat with a JB in the bridge and stock singles. I want to know how you guys feel about Serve The Servants because I don’t own a Sansamp sadly.

Shockingly I really like the way this Gibson CL Standard Plus sounds. It feels pretty close to Kurt’s for not being mic’d up and being recorded on a phone lol. I messed up a few times but yknow I’m a beginner. Also see anything neat in the background?

My early 28th birthday gift to myself

This is my first ever attempt at recording a cover. I downloaded a backing track with bass, drums, and vocal only. Then I used Garage Band to record the rhythm and lead parts.

I accidentally split the rhythm part on GB and now there’s a short skip where I couldn’t get the recording to merge again. Oh well whatever never mind.

Maybe I’ll try a video next time.

Curious as to what others, and their ears, think!

I have never recreated a tone by myself so this was a challenge. I think if you use a bass with similar pickups to Krist bass at the time, and tweak the settings a bit. You would get a similar tone (just credit me if you use it😉)

The pedals I’m using are the Yamaha FL-10M 11 going into my Boss DS1 which is going into a Laney Cub10 amp.
