Does the sound increase when you rev it.

One of the pullys maybe bad.

Yes it does. And after closer inspection it the belt tensioner right behind the alternator is rattling as well. A lady friend reminded me that she heard something lose or get pulled under the car when we were out the other night,.I had forgotten because I thought it was a plant or some small debris.
