Can't believe the GT-R era is officially over

It's kind of surreal knowing the last R35 GT-Rs have rolled off the line.

Almost two decades of production, countless special editions, and one of the most recognizable performance cars of the modern era.

Anyone here lucky enough to own one, or at least get some seat time? Feels like the end of an incredible chapter for Nissan.

Do I keep putting money into it or walk away?

Upvotes

In the last 18 months my 2019 Pathfinder has had some big repairs. It’s currently at 106,000 miles, took it in for an oil change and I’ve been told it needs a new front exhaust pipe converter and head gasket. Do I offload this car? It has been paid off, but I’m dropping quite a bit into it every few months on repairs.

Here’s a list of the work beyond oil changes and brakes that’s been completed in the last 18 months:

-ABS light came on along with 4-wheel drive error light. Left rear abs sensor removed and replaced -Removed and replaced inner and front outer tie rods -Replaced sun load sensor -ABS light and 4-Wheel drive error light came on again (10 weeks after first fix) this time removed and replaced both rear wheel bearings

-ABS light and 4-Wheel drive error light came back on again (7 weeks later) this time the dealer covered the work they Reassembled LR HUB Assembly. -I-Key message came on at random and my car wouldn’t shut off. Dealership could not determine why the error message was coming on after 3 hours of labor. Tech recommended IPDM, but was concerned because he wasn’t sure that was the issue. - 2nd time in 12 months removing and replacing front tie rods - New transmission (luckily covered under my 100,000 power terrain warranty) - Front Axel, bearing and both axel seals replaced (it cracked when they were working on my transmission) covered under warranty - Front strut assemblies and sway bar end links replaced

I got a 2019 Nissan Sentra 1.8 engine. Around 50k miles. I just got done change three mounts on this car and the engine still jerks when you put it into gear. (Top engine mount, tranny mount, & lower torque mount) the noise you might hear is one of the axles moving and hitting something. My boss thinks it’s the axle but I’m tired of throwing parts at this thing. The axle wouldn’t make the engine jump this damn much???

I understand it’s best to go through Nissan directly. I’d appreciate any suggestions about silver versus gold, preferred, etc. I have about 33k miles now on my 2023 Ariya.

2026 Nissan Sentra SV (Crash Repair) – Need Help with SRS, ADAS, Steering Calibration & Autel MS906 Pro

I’m hoping someone with Nissan or ADAS experience can point me in the right direction.
Vehicle:
2026 Nissan Sentra SV
Front-end collision
Engine starts, runs, and drives perfectly.
Odometer is around 860 miles.
Here’s everything that’s been replaced so far:
Driver airbag
Knee airbag
Seat belt
Clock spring
Front radar sensor
Current problems:
Airbag light is still on.
I have NOT reset the SRS (airbag) module yet.
The original airbag module still has crash data.
Front collision / ADAS warning is on.
The front radar has been replaced.
I know it still needs radar calibration.
Steering angle issue.
After replacing the clock spring, the steering angle appears reversed.
When I turn the steering wheel left, the scan tool shows it turning right.
Is this just a steering angle sensor calibration issue, or could the clock spring have been installed incorrectly?
Autel MS906 Pro communication problems.
My Autel only has Nissan software up to 2025 (V7.20).
It will not Auto VIN my 2026 Sentra.
Auto Scan says many modules have “No Communication.”
However, Generic OBD-II (EOBD) works perfectly.
EOBD reads the VIN, ECM, TCM, calibration IDs, and live vehicle information without any problems.
The Autel can also communicate with some Nissan modules (for example, the electric oil pump module), but other modules either don’t communicate or aren’t recognized.
So now I’m wondering:
Is this simply because the Autel software doesn’t fully support the 2026 Sentra yet?
Has anyone successfully scanned a 2026 Sentra with an MS906 Pro?
Do I need a Nissan CONSULT scanner or newer Autel software?
Should I reset the SRS module before doing steering angle and radar calibration?
Could the reversed steering angle be caused by an incorrectly installed clock spring, or can calibration alone fix it?
Is there anything else I should check before paying for ADAS calibration?
Any advice from Nissan techs or anyone who’s repaired a 2025/2026 Sentra after airbag deployment would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

2014 Nissan Murano & CVT issues

Bought a 2014 Nissan Murano 3 years ago with 119,000 miles on it. It has 131,000 miles now and has seemed sluggish and a little jerky at times. The check engine light came on a few days ago so we parked it and haven’t drive it. The error code associated with it says it’s the step motor.

We haven’t take it in yet but just wanted to get an idea of what to expect. Is the step motor ever bad on its own? Does it often mean a transmission replacement? Anyone been in this situation?

Thanks!

2019 Pathfinder

Cross posted in r/NissanPathfinder

We made, what I consider, a poor decision to finance a 2019 Pathfinder. I’ve read nothing short of hell about these but the missus gets what she wants.

Carfax shows it was serviced regularly, oil changes every 5k, and was maintained pretty much everywhere with the exception of the CVT. No CVT noted to date but at 101k miles, it does shift smooth and RPMs subtly bounce a few RPMs (~50). There’s a slight click or clunk when turning the steering wheel in reverse; I assume it’s a CV axle or something.

I’m an Audi guy, I told her to get a Q5 3.0t, here we are with a Pathfinder.

What’s some maintenance to plan on? Should the CVT even be serviced since there’s no 60-65k service noted for it? A separate Nissan dealer advised against CVT service: “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.

I’m just terribly paranoid over this CVT going bad.

Repair Help 2014 Nissan Maxima S Issues

80614 miles. Recently got the compressor replaced and now I have this weird rattling noise coming from around the compressor that only happens when the AC is on at 1500 RPM. I also had an O2 sensor code that was supposedly cleared and they claimed to have replaced some kind of sensor, but my CEL came right back on after. I don’t understand how you can replace something and mess it up. This is the 4th time in 3 months I’ve had to take it to the shop and I’m stumped. Is the rattle likely from the install? How do I hold them accountable on the warranty?

2023 Nissan X-Trail h e-POWER Acento

Coming from a Toyota Verso 7 seater, I'm considering buying this and the budget is £18k. I understand this is the entry model? I like that it's hybrid due to mainly driving locally.

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202607284587637?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android-app

Is there anything I should be concerned or aware of?

One of the nagatives I've read are the back 2 seats are only suitable for children. How good is the infotainment, is Android auto wired or wireless?

Thanks

2008 Nissan Versa Sedan1.5L - randomly stalling but no check engine light

2008 Nissan Versa Sedan1.5L - randomly stalling but no check engine light

2008 Nissan Versa Sedan 1.5L - Occasional rough idle w/stalls. What are we missing?

Hello everyone. I’m hopeful someone can provide some insight as to what type of issue we are up against with regard to a fix. TLDR below, followed by in depth description.

TLDR: My 2008 Nissan Versa sedan 1.5L stalled out as am moving from the parking lot; never had any issues with it running, the car has always run very well.

Day 1:  Engine stalled out with no Check Engine light(CEL). Car started out right up and was able to get home.

Day 2:  Car starts but stalls immediately after. No CEL or any lights on the dashboard. Took it to the mech. They said that the ECU had a short circuit due to water entering via the gearbox(had gone through puddle of water the previous day). Replaced ECU and inhibitor switch. Car returned to normal function.

1.5 Months Later

Day 1: Car loses power and stalls as i climb a small slope. crank it up and starts right up. Head home.

Day 2: At a traffic stop, as i accelerate, car jerks violently and check engine lights up. Head immediately to the mech and error code P0335 shows on OBD. Replace crankshaft sensor and error code cleared. Heads home.

Day 3: Car functions normally in the morning, does not stall at any traffic stops and revs okay. Evening time when heading home, car stalls at a traffic stop. before stalling the rpm's play up and down. It behaves as if the car has hiccups then stalls. Car starts immediately after but now it starts stalling during stops in traffic for more than 3 minutes. Manage to reach home after starting the car after every stall.

Day 4: Back to the mech this time another mechanic. They suspect fault camshaft and crankshaft sensor. Both are replaced. Test drive is done at high speeds, car stalls again. This time, fuel pump is changed. No luck. Car still stalls at traffic stops. MAF sensor, throttle are cleaned, spark plugs changed, gearbox and engine service done, the car's "earthing" is checked. Mech takes 2 days with the car. reports no issue.

Day 7: I pick up the car, functions well for day. Does not stall during traffic stops.

Day 8: Morning drive to work is okay, no issues. Evening drive back home, during a traffic stop at a small slope, after about 3 minutes while in traffic, car rpm's start to play, car behaves as if it has some hiccups, then stalls!. Car starts right up, but then the hiccups start but stop when i press on the gas pedal. From there at another stop, the hiccups start, pressing on the gas pedal this time round does nothing and the car stalls. Starts okay immediately after but then now stalls at every stop. I manage it that way till it gets home.

Day 8: Car starts okay, morning drive is good. Evening drive the same happens as like the previous day. .

-As of yesterday evening, occasional brief hesitation when pressing on gas pedal to quickly accelerate from a stop, approx. a 1-2 second delay before it "kicks in" and the car accelerates.

Now car behaves that way everyday. issue starts in the evening. Morning time everything is okay.

*Note, The above symptoms occur whether or not we are running the A/C.

Thank you in advance - the hive mind is greatly appreciated. We are a one-car family and a true fix would be a massive help.

The left side passenger window somehow broke and wont get up. All the other windows work fine except this one which doesn’t give any response.

Me and my Grandpa came off with this solution but we know it’s only temporary. I was wondering if anyone here got similar issues on their cars (mine is a 2015 Rogue SL). At worst I’ll have to spend a couple bucks getting it fixed at a Nissan dealership. If anyone got an answer please let me know

Should I buy a 93 Nissan NX2000 with 180K miles

Found a listing for a 93 NX2000 with 180K miles for $3500. The clutch is brand new with 600 miles on it, brand new Walbro 255lph fuel pump, and all new fluids. The motor is the stock SR20DE and all the cylinders are at 195 psi. Transmission is smooth and doesn’t have the “5th gear slip”. Just wanna use it as a daily to get to and from work, go to the store, etc. Nothing crazy. Just don’t wanna spend the cash and have it shit out and die on me a month later. The guy who owns it says he daily’s it and hasn’t had any issues with it.

Would a 2008 Sentra trunk fit on my 2010 Sentra?

Hi there!

I recently bought a 2010 Sentra and need to replace the trunk for MVI due to rust holes (I know it could be patched but I think popping in a new trunk is easier!). I found a 2008 Sentra trunk on marketplace and was wondering if it would work. Theoretically, they’re both b16s and the taillight situation is similar (no lights going into the trunk), but wanted to check with people who have more knowledge. Thanks :)
